: got to break in a 600rr today

my buddy's first bike ever...never ever ridden one....kinda scary but he did well.
II had him drive my klr while the rr was warming up and at first he almost pulled a Turbo-video stunt with the stal and almost dump... Told him not to let anything get to him and go at it again.
Then (for heart-felt's sake) I had him drive his 1/2 mile out of the neighborhood and then we switched so I could do the initial break-in,20 miles worth.

Stuna. How do you Fit on that Thing???

Tight ergos for my likings and that clutch lever angle's just too sharp for my wrist but that didn't stop me from getting the smallest chicken strips I could (within reason) on the tires.
The high revving snappy pappy was a fun one and the shifting was smoother than either of my 954RR's. The shifter could definately be a little further away from the peg for me and my bud (especially my bud with his steel toes boots.

I finally got to go past 130mph again which felt good and the balance point on that bike was high and tight. Got one up to over 100mph slipped in through third.

FUN FUN FUN :D
put 20 miles on it, changed the oil, then he rode it for 40.
he only stalled it once and that was on a hill start with plenty of eyes around to get him a little nervous.
No way I could settle for a 600. I need a liter bike. Nice bike though. Far more fun and better handling than my other friends gix750 or r6.

I got some good seat time in on a friends 600RR last year. Great bike. I loved holding that thing wide open. Very stable bike. You gotta ride it hard after you finish the break in.

You'll be sold.

For my second bike, I'm having a hard time deciding if I want the new GSX-R750, CBR600RR, or the GSX-R600.

yes I did. and I forgot to mention he not only almost did the yellow ducati stunt he also almost did that sv650 stunt of holding the throttle open, dumping the clutch, and over the curb into the tree (which wasn't there for him) after just missing the parked car...lol

I'll give him credit though. he took shit from me and didn't crash his new 04.
I still couldn't handle having a 600rr though... the ergos gave me a cramped neck (slightly) and that wrist pain from the clutch almost tried to damper my fun....
banking the turns and flipping through the gears in the wheelies kept the fun right on mark. :D

sooo you want to have fun on me for the only thing I can have, eh?

you want to give me the extra $230 a month I would have to pay for insurance to have the 1krr?

didn't think so,

not to mention I can spank you on your literbike's ass with this lil 600. :HEHEHE: :firedevil:

don't think for a second I'm settling for the 6er either. when I can afford a literbike again you bet your ass I'll be having one.

see, no rethinking needed. :hehe::cheers:

459rr, this lil bike pretty much feels like a mini 1000rr. doesn't turn near as fast as the 954 did but now that I have some mods done to it it kind of has the feel in the power category like my old 954 had. I can't wait to get a custom map, then it'll be complete. :coolgleamA: (besides suspension and then it'll be my track bike :vamp:

Yea I have a 600RR as my second, I love it. I like how you can carry more corner speed with it. and it if you spend a week on it riding to work... you get a REALLY good appreciation for your 1000RR again!

Makes the 1k feel like the first time you rode it all over again :D

Ever think the 1k doesn't pull hard, borrow (or buy) a 600 and ride it for a while!!!

I like the change in pace, and I am thinking about upping both to 06's (maybe wait on the 600 to 07)
