Well guys it was bound to happen, I went down can't remember if I lowsided or highsided. After I got home I went to the hospital because of chest pain and found out that I got torn cartlige where the ribs meet sternum. So it hurts kinda of bad. So what to do with the sv sale it or reboild it it's not to bad. My new shark helmet saved my face.

Sorry to hear it Dan. At least you were in the safest environment possible.

That must have been a crazy view of the road surface passing an inch below our left eye  But I'm pretty sure your eyes were closed

Rebuild it big man!!!!!!!!! Get back out there!!!! 8)

Any pics of the rest of your gear?

Take it easy for a while and let your body heal up good.

Glad to hear your alright. Shark did a nice job of protecting your face. You could turn that sv into a stunt bike. Just an idea. Good luck.

dayum! not too bad of damage to the bike. so the skinz aren't repairable with some fiberglass? hmm...

is this why you are buying that tubing for some clip-ons?

yeah, sternums can hurt like a bitch ,eh?. I've had my fair share of that pain. how's breathing? feels like anxiety? mine did anyways.

what's they wife say about rebuild or sell?

ya jim the tubing is for the clip ons and the wife says I need to sell it says I''m going to get hurt but I keep telling her that the track is the safest place to be. Hell ya the chest hurts like a bitch. Can't hardly riase my left arm above shoulder height, no deep breathes, ya it sucks. How long did you take to heal :?: didn't think of the fiberglass I'll have to see.

Life isnt worth living without the risk of dying. A very wise man had as his signature, I refuse to arrive safely at death... or something like that ;-)

lol! good one Kat. :D
three weeks till I didn't feel like that. and about 2 months till I felt like I'd be normal again. while it took about a few months till I was pretty much back where I was. good healing takes time so use all the time you need.
the track will still be there.

lately I've been thinking about when I can get on the track again to Really see what the bike I'm on is capable of doing with what abilities I have. safest place to practice them incase I need to use any of them tricks to survive street riding with all the unknowns one has to deal with just cruizing around at times.

so what gave? and where were you on the track when it happened?

I think I might of tucked the front not sure, turn 8 at putnam. hey jim I might just sell the sv I got a guy that offered 3000 for it and I paid 4000 and now it's been down too. So I might have to jump on that

you know Dan, turn 8 you say.

I just went over some of Matt's and my vid from there along with my memories (which I have been going over and over all the time in my head since then. soo much fun)
and that turn has a tricky entrance.
you have to be mid track or tighter to get through that without drifting too much and due to the track going slightly of camber it gives reason for the front end to kinda give.

don't think you went in too hot it's just the blip before the incline caught you off guard and you flinched just enough to have it go Right at the perfect time to not be able to recover... that's not a bad go though if that's what it was.

I actually burned that turn hot a couple of times and one of them I was flirting with disaster on the outside edge of the rumble strip.
not as wickedly as I went trough 7 a couple times.
