: ByTor is Fuckin Fast
Trackday went well today. The small track turned out to be fun.
ByTor was running expert times by our third outing. He fastest lap was 1:15 sec and his average laptimes were 1:20 sec.
My average laptimes were 1:25 seconds and my fastest lap was a 1:19.
Pics and video to come sometime this week.

No. My friend Bobby is fast. He runs 1:12s with an 03 R6.
If ByTor would have followed him around, he would have probably gotten even faster.
gntbldr 06-21-2005, 08:58 PM how are you guys getting times?
they have beacons on your bikes if requested?
By-Tor 06-21-2005, 09:15 PM Today turned out to be very cool. Started out with NYCS1000's friend high siding on one if the early laps of our first session. Ablulance took him to the hospital. Then a bit later in the session another guy wrecked in the same turn and he got carted off to the hospital. There were no ambulances left at the track so we took an early lunch and could not ride until one of the ambulances came back. I was pretty bumbed because I could have been up at Loudon instead.
Once we did get back to riding we had a blast. I was working hard to learn the track the best I could. Finally got into a groove. The Pilot Powers did great until late into the day when I started to over cook the rear. I had the rear come out really big on me coming out of a left hander getting onto the back straight. I saved it but the rear was not hooking up very well after that. Good news is that I had the camera running for that session 8)
I loved the 180 rear at the track. The bike flicked in really well. I'm sure I would have been a bit slower with a 190.
HAd fun spending the day with Turbo. Always fun to rib on each other in real time  And there was plenty of that going on. Got to meet our fellow member Nemesis there too. He did the beginner track day school. Very smart move bro 8) Judging by the looks of his tires he has having a great time and making great progress.
What's that you say?????????
Did Turbo's Duc have anything for my basicaly stock 1000RR???????
Absolutely NOT!!!!!!!!!!
That's right folks, you heard it here first. I handed him a huge plate of Grade-A whoop ass!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!
Showed him what some fat, porky, boring Honda could do
But it was all in good fun. Turbo was getting faster throughout the day. That's all that really matters.
Can't wait to do it again bro!!!!!!!!!
By-Tor 06-21-2005, 09:16 PM how are you guys getting times?

Turbo's Duc has a lap timer so it's easy for him.
I looked at my video and watched the timer on the screen to see how quick I was.
By-Tor 06-21-2005, 09:18 PM Oh, and thank you for the kind words Turbo.
Hope to get you up to Loudon some time 8)
glad everything went well and everybody stayed safe. looking forward to the vid. was he the fastest from the guys you knew that went today?
Also forgot. NYCs1000 runs 1:10s.
NYCs1000 will be doing FUSA on August 4th.

We'll I bet my pictures will look much better and so will my form. 8) Riding with me made you look like a superstar.
By-Tor 06-21-2005, 09:38 PM You leave my form out of this.........
That control rider was dumbfounded by my elbows in style. He was suprised that I could go so fast through corners with my elbows tucked in. It's what I have to do with my wrecked shoulders. If I let my elbows rotate out, the smallest bump could make my left shoulder slip out of joint. Not a problem with the right one since it was reconstructed last summer, but I'm not taking any chances.
I developed this style from dirt riding. I used to ride elbows out until my left shoulder popped out when I landed my ATV from a small double jump at the MX track and it coused me to fall off the quad. Elbows in ever since.

I'm going to most likely buy the CD. Pics should be up on the Website by Thursday I'm guessing.
By-Tor 06-21-2005, 09:42 PM 8)
You get my video uploaded yet?
By-Tor,
The cable works for the camera but I can't seem to find the software for this thing anywhere. Do you still have the CD? If you do, mail it to me and I'll get it out to you.
Otherwise, I'll just keep searching the web. Also, if you have a model number for this camera, that would help out a lot. There is no model number anywhere on the camera. I'm wondering if it's on the box or the manual or something.
Let me know.
By-Tor 06-21-2005, 09:46 PM Panasonic PV-DV402
Sorry, I don't have the software since I got it as a display model.
Nemisis 06-21-2005, 11:16 PM By-tor and Turbo are great guys. Both guys helped out with my bike and it wouldn't have gone as smooth without them. Being a new rider, being on the track for the first time can be overwhelming. Add to that brand new leathers and you think what the hell have I gotten myself into.
Great experience. I don't know what type of times I was getting (probably slow) but I know I made a huge improvement by the end of the day. Took everything step by step and by the end of the day I was feeling the the rear tire wiggle :D from feeding the throttle on corner exits. Bad part is I rode my bike for 4 miles on the street and it felt so slow. :( I know see how some people only ride on the track.
The 1000RR was awesome. Never complained except when I bounced it off the rev limiter once. (I'm going that fast. ) No matter how much I gave it, never did performance start going down.
To sum it all up I am very happy I learned how to abuse my rear tire. Just a little left on the sides but small steps will have using that last bit.
Dan954 06-21-2005, 11:33 PM glad to see you guys had fun
MetalScorpio 06-22-2005, 06:42 AM good times guys...I'm glad you guys enjoyed. Wished i could be there.
good times guys...I'm glad you guys enjoyed. Wished i could be there.
Metal,
Maybe I'll do July 14th with you. I could use the practice. I gotta get up in By-Tor's shit before this season is out. 8)
I might have been off of By-Tor's times by a couple of seconds, but my form was perfect. Going slower never looked sooooo good!!! 8)
Wait till you see the pics.
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 08:04 AM Turbo, the editing software for that camera is from ArcSoft. http://www.arcsoft.com/en/products/videosoftware.asp
I'm not sure which program it is but it might be the DVD & CD Suite.
MetalScorpio 06-22-2005, 08:10 AM come on guys quit jurking around and post the video damn it! I'm working hard right now.
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 08:10 AM Anyone here have editing software they would like to lend to Turbo so we can get this video compressed and uploaded?
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 08:11 AM Turbo, can you play the tape through Metalscorpio's camera and load it that way?
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 08:13 AM This video must be made public. We can't deny the masses any longer!!!!!
Hold on.
I'm leaving for work now. I'll post up by noon and give you guys a status.
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 08:18 AM 8) 8) 8) 8)
MetalScorpio 06-22-2005, 08:19 AM Yo turbo....what are you good for anyways....! get the video done
I should be able to do it. One of my coworkers has the video capture software at home. I'm going to let him take the tape with him tonight if I can't load it myself. It should be done by tomorrow the latest.
MetalScorpio,
This is an older camera with the little VHS thingy inside.
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 09:43 AM I just remembered that next month will mark 2 years as a sport bike owner
I whooped you up and I only have 10,000 miles street riding experience.
Sucka!!!!!!!!!!!

typical Duc owner.......form over function
and i doubt your form was "perfect"
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 11:07 AM If he would put half the effort that he puts in breaking his back to get his knee down for the cameras, into concentrating on going faster, he would be headed in the right direction.
The knee should drag out of a result of speed and not due to a conscious effort to drag it for mere style points.
My brother got a kick out of meeting you Nate. He thinks you're the king of excuses  He was like, "with all the shit talkin you told me about him, I was expecting some Joe Racer dude. Guys like him crack me up"
How is Shawn's buddy doing? He need surgery?
hahahahahaha!!!!! I can only imagine what Skank would have to say if he was there

Guys like me???!!! He hardly even knows me. I spew shit on the forums to keep the place lively.
I'm possibly one of the most level headed guys you'll ever meet.
Actually, The quote of the day should go to your brother. He looked up at me and you in the garage after the second crash and said: "I can't believe this day ever fuckin happened".
C'mon Mike, it wasn't that bad. hahahha
Tell him I'll give him $5,000 for his R1.
Showed him what some fat, porky, boring Honda could do
Yeah, just imagine what you could do with a real bike.
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 01:07 PM All said and done it was one hell of a day 8)
And the "Guys like him" comment is because you remind us of our friend with the GSXR600. You guys both talk big smack about skillz and then have an excuse ready by the time our helmets come off after a session
Don't take it to heart, just get even by showing us how much faster you are the next time
Now go get that video ready!!!!! :P
I'm going to Mike's house tonight to watch his video on his projection TV.

You like how I did a Mat Mladin by riding in the grass. 8) Mat Mladin did it twice last year at Road Atlanta when he was Bitch Slapping Miguel Duhamel. hahahahaha
My form was sooo perfect. I can't wait for the pics.
No jerking off to my pics, ya hear???
You remember how in Rocky III when Rocky got beat by Mister T because he was too busy being all Hollywood and stuff?
That's what happened this time around at Pocono.
Just wait till next time. Just wait. It's gonna be ugly.
1:12s all day baby!
On a serious note, if you look in the vid when you were following me, coming out of turn 9, I would pull about 2-3 bike lengths on you but I wouldn't stay on the gas long enough for it to matter.
Also, you kept running the hairpin a little wide lap after lap after lap. And you also kept running turn 9 wide. You could have probably broken into the 13s/14s.
Something to work on for next time.
We're definately doing East again this year. Even if I have to pay for you to go.
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 01:23 PM Put the $ where your mouth is buddy. 10 seconds is a ton of time to cut off a lap there.
Have you talked to Shawn? I'm surprised he's not all over this thread
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 01:25 PM No doubt we're the 2 biggest shit talkin MoFo's on here

Yeah, why not?? We'll put some money on it for next time...Or lunch, or tires, or gas, or something. It'll make it that much more interesting. 8)
Just make sure you bring your fat chick. Your bike reminds me of a fat spanish chick that can salsa dance her ass off. lol
No doubt we're the 2 biggest shit talkin MoFo's on here
Yes we are.
Those Pilot Powers worked great!!! I was thoroughly impressed.
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 01:30 PM Your on biatch!!!!!
Next time we run for a set of tires. I need someone to loan me a lap timer.
Loser has to buy the winner a set of tires.
I'll even run my Pilot Powers vs you on race rubber just to try to make it a bit more fair.
But you're too slow to need race rubber
Just make sure you have my tires ready.
8)
I'll probably invest in a real lap timer as my onboard timer can be a little off if I take to long to press the button after each lap or if I press the button too quickly.
We'll set the next Pocono East date for late sept. or early oct. That way, the loser has to hear about it all winter. hahahhahahaha
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 01:51 PM DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't think of an easier way for me to get some new tires!

I saw By-Tor do a couple laps and I think he made a lot of time carrying crazy speed in turn one (1st left turn when you turn onto track). I didn't see to many people carrying that type of speed into that turn especially with all the bumps aproaching it on the right side.
gntbldr 06-22-2005, 01:59 PM bumps in, during, and out of turns are my favorite. along with pavement seams that act like ruts.
there was this seam on the last turn at putnam that you could use as a real good rail line if you were in it just right. felt scary as hell though, but that's why I liked it.
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 02:00 PM The trick to that turn is you have go right over the bumps in the slight right hander just before Turn 1. This sets you up for a wide approach to pitch in left to turn 1.

Sorry but I was fastest through turn 9. 8)
GNT,
You gotta see this move I did.. I ran so wide in this double apex that my rear tire clipped the grass and I left a puff of dirt. 8) You would've been proud.
DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't think of an easier way for me to get some new tires!
That's how we do em here in queens. We give away the first one and then when they get confident, we destroy them when there's stakes involved.

Wait till everyone here watches the video and sees how when I'm following you you slow me down so much I hace to run up on the side of you in most turns. And that includes turn 9  Plain and simple you had nothing for me on any square inch of that track. And the video will show that my stock 1000RR destroyed your Duc comming out onto the straight. In fact, my brother and I both passed you there  Jap killer huh? You knew I had the camera on you so that tells me you were givin it all you had. I wanted to be a nice guy and get some footage of ya but I lost patience and had to say Bye Bye. Pretty sure you were a half lap down by the time it was all over. We pulled on you like you were in reverse. We laughed at you when we got back to the pit garage
You better have your mechanic check your brakes because I think they're draggin
I need to learn to upload video's myself so everyone can see the view from behind me from my brothers camera. My brother followed me when I passed you and he was behind Pete. He passed Pete and you at once! You went from 1st to 3rd within 100 feet  Sad thing is I passed you out on the inside. You were so slow and stil had to take a wide exit to the straight. I carved that shit like fillet mignon 8) You can't run my pace yet. It's all psychological. You must have something in the back of your mind keeping you from pushing yourself to the next level. I sat out the last session because I knew I would not be able to resist the urge to go even harder and I would probably been riding out in the ambulance.
It's a switch I have trouble turning off. You haven't even turned your switch on yet. You told me you get nervouse every time you go line up to go out on the track. That's what's holding you back. You have to relax bro. Even the control rider told you that you look tense out there. It shows in the video.
I'm not bustin on ya, just tellin you how I saw it so maybe you can get faster. The bike is askin for it, you just have to give it.
And runnin wide into the dirt on the double apex is unnacceptable. You were 10 feet off the race line for sure and your speed did not merrit that. You'll see that I stayed to the inside with no problem and we were going so slow that my knee wasn't even down :?
Get that video up here so everyone can see for themselves. You need to post the entire thing so they can see how much I picked up the pace once I ditched you
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 02:29 PM The chick on the Yamaha two stroke was the fastest through turn 1 the whole day.
Yup, she was hella fast for sure 8) She was on rails and hit the same line within inches every time. Very consistent.

hahahahaha  I thought you'd like that part
Come on, you still my brutha from a different mutha. You just not as fast as you think you are. I'm not as fast as I would like to be so it's all good. We're there to learn.
Make sure your bitch ass buys the CD with your pics on it. The photos should be up on the website tomorrow.

hell yeah Turbo!. I did that a couple of times at turn 8 at Putnam. it was a smooth turn but it was a increasing radius and up slope. I went into a two wheel slide so I gassed it up a lil more and let the rear go out just enough to get the front to hook up again and by that time some dust and gras was a flying too!.
Nice work man! :D :D :D

Fuckin Spineless wankers!!!!!

You guys would choke on your saliva if you actually saw how professional I was when on the job.
Back to By-Tor.
By-Tor rides like he's doing the funky chicken or squeezing out a fart. I'm soo much more aesthetically appealing. My riding style is kind on the eyes and very palatable.
By-Tor on the other hand. No comment. Once I turn up my riding a notch, I'll not only be beautiful, but I'll be able to cut really fast laps. By-Tor is already fast, and he can't do anything about his horrid appearance and terrible form.
Think of By-Tor like an ugly chick. No matter how much makeup you throw on, you're still ugly.
hahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahah ahhahahahahahahahha
NavyMac 06-22-2005, 06:00 PM did you just triple post? If your riding is anything like your web ability...

hahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahah ahhahahahahahahahha
but........you're still slower.
why are you even talking shit? like i said...........form over function.......signs of s TRUE squid
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 10:15 PM HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! I just got home from my brother Mike's house where we watched his video. You can see Turbo breaking his back to get his knee down when he is going so slow that we're following him in an upright position    He's holding me, Mike and Pete up so bad that it looks like our bikes are connected by 1 foot lengths of chain.
Pete came and picked up his bike from my house today and he said he passed you out 3 turns after we did.
My older brother who doesn't even ride said "why the fuck is he trying so hard to get his knee down? He's not even going fast!!!!!"
We passed you out like you were standing still.
You can't even comment on my form because you didn't even ride with me. I would lose you within 2 turns and that's the sad truth. I wish NYCS1000 could have stuck around to see how sad you looked out there.
And don't tell me that your tires were going off. Your so slow, the tires had ice on them
And you say you're hard on the brakes????????? Try letting off them for a change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You really need to see the view from my brother's camera so you can see the cluster fuck traffic jam you created. You're a hazard out there. You can't even hold a line at the pathetically slow pace you run.
Do all future trackday attendants a favor and take the track school before running intermediate again. But that won't bother me because I'll be in expert next time. I ran expert at Loudon and I should have run expert at Pocono East.
Give me a call when you're ready to run with the big boys buddy. I'll be sure to warn them
Face it bro......... YOUR SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
C420sailor 06-22-2005, 10:17 PM burnnnnn!!!!!
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 10:18 PM And I could give 2 shits about how my pictures look because my speed is judged by a stop watch, not a still photo 8)
Your pics might give the illusion of speed, but the video proves who is faster 8)
vt954 06-22-2005, 10:22 PM Where's the vid?!!! Hurry up already.
By-Tor 06-22-2005, 10:24 PM I'm afraid Turbo is gonna destroy the tape like it's Watergate 2005

By-Tor 06-23-2005, 06:53 AM How's my video doing Turbo?
When I get to work, I'll give you an update. I'm expecting the guy to have captured it last night.
I'll let you guys know by 10am.
Double R 06-23-2005, 06:55 AM Back to By-Tor.
By-Tor is already fast, and he can't do anything about his horrid appearance and terrible form.
turbos new name is " MR DISCLAIMER". He gets beat flat out on the track and his new argument is "i look better". YOu could save track money and money on upgrades and just sit in front of the high schools if your goal is looks
disclaimer:this bike is not intended for actual purposes of high speed , it is only a representation of beautiful form and should not be duplicated at home, furthermore any faster traffic and lap times will be found null and void and not considered valid. This offer does not apply in ct,ny,nj, va or on earth. If you have a faster lap time or look better you will be immediately disclaimered.
Damn Turbo, I can't wait to get back there again!!!!!!! Like you said, Sept or Oct will be cool. We'll dice it up real nice next time 8)
Yeah,
Round 2 will be much better. I promise.
By-Tor 06-23-2005, 07:59 PM So what tires do you think I should have you buy me?????????? You might as well buy them now so I can ride on them while I school you again. If I lose, which I won't, I'll pay you back and buy you tires, and even pay for the mounting 8)
Flightmedic954 06-23-2005, 08:09 PM Why dont you two, get a room
By-Tor 06-23-2005, 08:39 PM Why dont you two, get a room
We already have one. It's room # 1000RR.com
By-Tor,
From the looks of your tires and that little incident you had, how many more trackdays do you think you can get out of your tires?
By-Tor 06-23-2005, 09:01 PM I think 2 more. I'm sure it was just a matter of over cooking them that session. Pretty sure they would be fine the next session if I didn't go so hard on exit from turns. I probably should have let a pound or two out of the rear. I never adjusted or checked the pressure after that session. I bet they were up to 35 - 36 pounds. I should have left the rear at 28 cold like I had it during that shitty first session. I think I was over working the small contact patch with the high pressure if you catch my drift.

I've already got 2 and a half trackdays on mine. I think I'm just going to chuck 'em for like $75
31 front 30 rear worked great for my fat ass!
By-Tor 06-23-2005, 09:13 PM yeah, I went up to 31 so I think I'm right about being a bit over pressured. I should have let out a pound or two.
By-Tor 06-23-2005, 09:14 PM Those were your cold pressures?
Those were your cold pressures?
Yeah, those were cold pressures.
BTW, that vid did not post yet. I'm going to check first thing in the morning, like 7:30am.
I'll be Fed-Ex-ing your camera, tape, and dvd's out to you either tomorrow or Monday.
By-Tor 06-23-2005, 09:25 PM Yeah, I've been checking that site every hour or so to see if it posted.
Cool on the FedEx. Thanks again for taking care of all the computer stuff for me. One day you'll have to give me a crash course on that stuff.

Don't mention it.
When's your next trackday? Tony's is having another one in July. You going?
By-Tor 06-23-2005, 10:41 PM I'm not sure when I'll be back to the track. I have a bunch of stuff coming up with fire dept tests and EMT tests. If the fire dept tests go well they might turn into interviews. I'll play it by ear. That and doctor's appointments for the little guy. I'll let you know. The Champion FUSA date sounds so good though for $150 :P Talk about a bargain.
vt954 06-23-2005, 10:55 PM What's the deal with the Champion Fusa date??
vt954 06-23-2005, 10:57 PM The next Loudon open day is July 21. You guys should go to that. Half day open practice for $100.

I might be headed back to the track in a couple of weeks.
