Well last night Crash Crashed ... Again, this time it was the end of the 1000rr , first of all he is ok just a broken ankle and some road rash, i havn't seen the bike yet but from what i hear it didn't hold up too well swingarm broke in 2, busted forks, clipons, severly rashed frame ,broken subframe, rashed motor covers ect now mind you the bike damage is all hearsay i have yet to see it myself , the bad news is that Crash was riding without and insurance or registration. i guess he hit some gravel and started a lowside that turned into a highside. wore through his shoei rf-1000 helmet Medics say without it he would have worn his head off :eek: so everone lets hope for the best for him.

I've been in his shoes a few times before. not exactly a wlak in the park.
I've spent over 4 years of my life not being able to walk between the sprains and the breaks, not all from motorcycles, but the ones from bikes that I've spent time layed up from I was always getting the first stage of the healing done and TAKING IT SUPER EASY. and that means resting mentaly as well as physically for at least four days. Unless you have to handle all of your own legal shit. Then it'd be at least seven.
all the "now now" takes thoughtfull energy away from healing because you have to go through the pain to focus on it.

crutches and removable walking foot cast on it's way via priority mail. should be there by thursday.
there's some extra little ankle pads that go between your achiles and ankle bones (tibia and fibula if I'm not mistaken) and also a larger to go ontop your foot behind your toes.

I was talking to crash today and he was saying he was thinking of keeping it depending on the condition of it.... dunno.
but he still hasn't been able to pick it up from the tow yard and they're charging him a small fortune for the pick up and half of that small fortune per day it sits there.

I've been there before like that and I went and picked up my bike to save me some of that dough. I only had one working arm and one working leg, and a flat trailer behind my truck. pulled up next to that sheice of pit and got it on the trailer with no help except aggression and adrenalin.
