That poor bastard...and if what he says is true, i feel bad for those who have oredered new r1's and need to wait for a dealer mechanic to break it in several hundred miles for them lol.

exactly what happened to that motor is what happened to my 1st 954..
After the oil filter seal blew during that high speed sweeper and the dealer just cleaned up the bike, filled it with oil, put a new filter on it and gave it back to me.
That day is when I had the loud noise come on and get louder and louder (right after I wanted to test the motors ability with a top speed run)
Bottom line is that is an oil starvation issue and my assumption is that it didn't have the proper amount of oil in it to start out with and then the domino's fell.

You know I saw almost the same thing with a zx636. only had 1200 miles on it and a freind of mine that works at a dealer showed it to me. He knew the guy and said that this guy babied the thing. 8)
