Hi All,

I use to post on the 954 forum when it first opened up but I still drop in for the entertainment value. :teevee: Anyhow, can someone tell me how many links are in the chain. I just bought a new chain and I need to cut it to size. Please help :!:

if you want to sit and count all the links be my guest  jfwy.
I have always adjusted my rear wheel to a bit in front of the midway marker then laced in the chain, overlapped it and split it there.
This way you don't make too small of a wheel base and are able to adjust it for times to come.

if this isn't the right advice for you I'm sorry, but it's what I've always done.

one note is that you don't want to have the axle markers too far in from the middle because you need to have the proper slack when you link the chain together.

both stuna and gnt are right on, so you don't really need to know how many links there to get an accurate measurement, but there are 110 links.

Their way is much easier than counting....you can get screwed up real easy ....or is it just me?? :P
