Only put 30 miles on it so far...here are my first thoughts (more later):

Coming from an 03 RC51, this thing is really flickable. Reminds me of an R6. Has plenty of power below 6k. Suspension is much more compliant than the RC's - soaks up the little bumps much better. Seat and ergos are more comfortable than the RC, but still very sporty.

I still have less than 100 miles on it so far, first oil change will be done at 600 or so.

I got about 500 under MSRP, and no freight or setup charges.

That bike needs absolutely nothing. Race rubber is the only thing that should go on that bike. Leave it stock. Just get rid of the mud flap. Maybe a slip-on. It really doesn't need a slip-on either. The damn thing makes 150rwhp.

And, in spite of the power, you got Honda reliability.

I've had my bike since thursday of last week, however... it has been SNOWING for the last 2 days. *grumble* damn new york.

OK. So far it handles like a dream.. It is falls into the corners with almost no effort what so ever. It is very sharp much like the 03’ RC51 I rode last year; the power is very close to the feel of a GSXR-1000 but much smother. Forget about the trunk space there is none, I tried to start a little head shake at 50mph to see what the HESD would do and bars tightened up and fought the shake Pretty Cool. After I get a few miles on it and change the oil I will post some thought on the speed.

Anyone heard any good pipes on a 600RR they can recommend? The factory sound pretty nice over 4K but I know there is better out there.

Yeah, same question: How does it compare to the 954. I have an '02 954 and am considering dumping it for the 1000. Are the differences worth it? Also, I've hear the 1000 has a distinctive sound. What do you think of it? Not important, just curious.
