I got a pair of the stick on non-led flushmounts. They have single filament bulbs. I know I need a resistor to slow the blinker rate down. The directions say that I need a flasher relay(HD-12), but from what I've been reading, everyone is using resistors. I believe 8 ohm. I don't know what watt though. Can anyone shed some light on this?

The flushmounts should come with these resistors IMO.

the higher the wattage resistor the more heat dispersion it has.

I should add that almost any wattage will work since a pulsing load and not constant

also 8ohm may work but do a resistance check on your stock bulbs and then one on the new bulbs and make up the difference... unless you want an even slower flash rate than normal then go ahead and increase the resistance.

Thanks gnt. When I have some time, I'll screw around and figure it out. I'll post my results.
