that's my ids2. I think it got bent in a lowside when I was screwin around in a gravel lot, but it was the endless miles of 6th gear wide open runs that finally did it in.
What's your guy's take on this?

that fucking fucker's fucking fucked! lol, weld it, shyeah! Right!

http://powersports.honda.com/images/model/model_images/Motorcycles/2005/CBR1000RR_Black_Metallic_Silver.jpg
I was thinking getting the red one when I was there until I remembered this one after seeing it on the Honda Site. I'm seeing if I can get them to do the financing up so I don't have to run full coverage on it since there's no way in hell I can afford a new bike and full coverage.
So far Honda has approved my financing but it has the f.c. stipulation entwined with their Labor Day Weekend Special that offers 5yr financing at 4.9%
yeahup, jonesin big time
even more so now since I have to ride the gs500 again.

State Farm, full coverage, 20 bucks a month  Mosmak pays only 700 a year through State Farm IIRC

calling my cousin in law. she sells State Farm Ins. and I have my homeowners through her right now along with my folks have their car ins. theough her.
Maybe if I put all my machines under her then I can get cut some slack.
I have many many violations on my record and that's what screws me for full coverage on a performance machine.

State Farm only sees size, they do not acknowledge any particular model.
gntbldr 08-29-2005, 05:05 PM State Farm will NOT cover me due to too many violations.
otherwise it'd be 240/yr full coverage.
oooooo But I am elligible in august of 2006 if I don't get anymore tickets!
woohoo!

So bite the bullet payong high rates for a year and then do it. State Farm will even cover Track Days!
More importantly, get that bike and come watch at BHF this Sunday!

I say get the bike and some full coverage insurance. Just get something, cheapest you can find. Then, go for a month and try to go to a different insurer until you make the switch to State Farm. A lot of times, going from one company to the next without a claim filed or a non-insured period will get you cheaper rates anyway. Go for 1000 deductible to keep it down some. You will not be disappointed in this bike!
mosmak 08-29-2005, 05:33 PM oops resus, i must have screwed up telling you that i saved 700 and i only pay just under 400 and my deduct is 500, yeah state farm is the way to go.

gntbldr 08-30-2005, 01:05 PM ok, Financing through Honda is approved for 9k on a new Honda card. That's 180/mo
then the balance would go on my other Honda card and that'll end up being 150/mo because there's a balance on it already.
Then ins would be 300/mo because I'm High risk.
so that equals more than what I am paying for my mortgage right now. No f-in way I can swing this at the moment.
Sooo I'm going to look into getting my friends 600 to hold me over until I get my taxes back and refinance my house. then payments will be less than 200/mo for the bike And ins.
By-Tor 08-30-2005, 01:16 PM Your mortgage is less than $630/mo?????????
I'm moving to WI pronto. I pay $4000/mo  and that was after $120,000 down :x
Why do I stay here???????????????????????????????????? ?????

9 grand on the Honda card would put you on a new 600RR. Higher trade in value next year, less insurance, when you switch up to State Farm next year, switch up to a 1000RR as well. And it is still a NEW BIKE

That black Tribal they have is the SHIT!
Bring it to Blackhawk Sunday :) Do it Do it!
By-Tor 08-30-2005, 03:01 PM I must admit that ye ole ditch doctor makes some very strong points. Would make a sick trackday bike too.
Only problem is that there is not too much season left, so you might as well wait till next season and get what you really want. What ever you buy now will be last years bike in a couple months :(

I mean just for him to come watch Sunday. The trackday season is about done here, but there is plenty of riding season left, PLENTY! :D
I just think that a used 05 will bring more in trade in at a year old than a 3 year old 600RR that has been down even with depreciation. Also, next years 600RR will only be a color change anyway.
Then finally, Jim really NEEDS a new bike ASAP. He is so far above the abilities of his current rides.

Woah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, where did that come from????????????
You're right, gnt does need a new bike. And a 600 would get him around his insurance problem. And the 05' is a better 600 than the 03'. Sounds pretty good to me.
He'll be craving that liter bike surge of raw horsepower though
By-Tor 08-30-2005, 03:23 PM My heart skips a beat every time I go to the dealer and see the silver/black 600RR. That would look sick parked next to my silver/black 1000RR.
I would use the 600 for the track only 8) My wife is half convinced that it's a good idea to have a separate bike just for the track :P

By-Tor 08-30-2005, 07:41 PM Gnt, see if you can get the dealer to swap out the stock tires for a set of Pilot Powers. If not, just have them do the swap and sell off the stock tires as unused. You'll be very happy that you did.
Do the 05's come with Dunlops? I thought I saw Dunlops on the ones at my dealer but I could be wrong.
GNT,
You gotta get to a trackday before the season is out.
gntbldr 08-30-2005, 08:04 PM shieat.. it could have some super cheap tires on it for all I care and it'd still handle 100 times better than any bike I've owned in the last two years. 8)
What I am going to ask them is if they will throw in some saddle bags with it since I just spent a thousand in stuff and am now getting a new bike too.
I'm going to like the 600 over the 1000 (for the time being) for two reasons.
1 lower ins.
2 I'll go through rears a little less fast I'd imagine
I wonder if the rearsets for the 600 are the same as the 1000?

The Vortex's like mine are.
By-Tor 08-30-2005, 08:30 PM I know that Vortex rearsets for the 600RR fit the 1000RR. Should be the same for other makes. I have the Woodcrafts and highly recomend them.
