ooohhhhh What I don't like about the bike:
the damned shifter. I've already adjusted it once and will lower it again on break.
The thing is, is that it's set up fairly decent for when the front is on the ground but when it's up in the air or during certain turns you aren't able to get a good bite at it for upshifting and at times it feels like you went up one but you didn't. You have to Dramatize your actions with it a bit.
Rearsets are Definately getting put on order tomorrow! gp shifting here I come :!: :!: :!:

oh yeah, and I need to get my butt bones used to a cbr seat again. :x ouch :x

call me before you order rearsets Jim, I got a hook up for you.

well, just spill the beans instead! I won't be able to call you until after 11pm tonight and we know That's not going to happen. :P

but if it's candid then email me what the scoop is. because I am all ready to go to Rob's in the morning and order some up on my Honda card.

I'll find out the answer to that either later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Edit:...
Rob's can get them (Vortex's, because they are in stock) in on Monday for me if I order them tomorrow before noon which I will do even though they sell for a base price of $432 which is steep, then I get the new bike discount of 10% which drops them down to 388 and I will try to do some f'nageling and get them for about $330 I'd imagine. hmph, if only I had the cash I could get them online for far less......

POW!!!!!!!!!!!! ZAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those Woodcraft rearsets are the shiznit fo sho!!!!!!!!

Strong as fuck, simple, zero bling factor, rearset of choice of racers in LRRS (Loudon road race series), and they should only set you back about $315. And yes you can run them standard or GP shift.

I would go with GP shift gnt. You'll never want to go back to standard shift if you do.

GP shift and Woodcraft's rearsets. Now that's the way to fly 8)

I dunno, I'd kinda like to have the adjustability.....

Like Ron Popeil says, "Set it and forget it!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Once you set them where you want them they'll most likely be right where the Woodcraft's come out of the box. Plus there are less parts to the Woodcraft's which make them stronger.

From one fast guy to another, GET THE WOODCRAFTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

I'm 5'8 and the Woodcraft's put my feet right where I had always wished they would be.

ok, but will that be the same spot when I transfer them from the 6 to the 1? ... that's where my question lies.

Hop on a plane and I'll let you try mine out

I'm happy with them. Stuna had them on his 600 and his 1000.

Go with your heart my young Jedi  I'm sure you'll be more than happy with either brand.

the nice thing about Vortex beyond the adjustability is that spare parts are readily available, often times trackside should you need them.

Yup, that's why I went with the Woodcraft's. The parts can be found at Loudon. What ever you do gnt, buy from an American manufacturer. Parts will be much easier to get if you do.

I'm going to have to wait a week or two to save up a little for the rearsets.

did my bills last night and I wound up spending $240 on gas in the last two weeks while before I was spending $180 and the two weeks before that it was $140 for two weeks....

putting on the vortex rearsets tonight along with a new back tire. :)

The votex were in stock and I got them for a reasonable price, same goes for the d208 I'm getting because the danged stocker d218 isn't to be found anywhere.

ok, so I lied...
j/k,
but not really,

I finally got the rearsets on. Satisfied with them too.
And since I was taking things apart and putting them back together I took off the heat shield and the passenger pegs.

here's stock trim:

well, I tried out the vortex on the furthest back and furthest down at first.
but now I have them at the furthest up and the furthest forward and that's the sweet spot for my 32" inseam legs to fit well. great control, comfort, and useability.
I know when I transfer these over to the 1000 next year They'll be in the 1000's sweet spot then, and no telling what that'll be for me...

My 32" inseam likes my feet to be a bit up and back from the stock position. 600RR must have a slightly different seating position from its big bro, or maybe we have different tastes

my 32 inch inseam likes the pegs all the way up and all the way back.

It may have something to do with me not getting a knee down though.

Seems we like the same foot positions resus. Maybe the magnets in my knees help me out a bit
