The possibility of Superbikes—or MotoGP—bikes at Indianapolis Motor Speedway has raised its head again.
A local media report this week quotes IMS President Joie Chitwood regarding motorcycles on the bricks: "It's interesting to me, and it's interesting to the company. It's worth my time to see if it makes sense," he said.
Mat Mladin has visited Indianapolis Motor Speedway to talk about the feasibility of racing motorcycles in Indiana, but judging by the tone of the report, AMA Superbikes now seem to be the third choice of the Speedway: MotoGP and World Superbike seem to be the first choices.
Both series either feature or will feature factory or factory support from all the manufacturers, while AMA currently sees only Honda, Ducati and Suzuki in Superbike.
