Just curious what you guys are installing for aftermarket tires
Thinking of the Metzler M1 Sportec
180/55 rear 120/70 front
Does the smaller tire size on the rear make the bike turn easier?
Thanks in advance...

yup.
I haven't tried the metz's but know someone who has and he loves them for multi conditions.
I used the bt12's on my 03 and also the pilot sports. The pilots turned slower than the battleaxes while the bt's had a little more slide in the slower speeds and the pilots squished a bit in the real tight turns...
Good luck with your choice and Ride On!

i had the sportec m1s on my old bike and i loved them! they stuck like glue!! i only rode on the streets and canyons though... no tracks. when it was time to replace the m1s, i put on 208's. they are OK... not as good as the m1s IMO. i wish i would've stuck with the metzlers!! but i wanted to try something new... so oh well.
on my 954, i have the bt12's... still breaking those in, so i don't know how well they handle yet... but to me, the sportecs are awesome tires!!

Pirelli Diablos.....awesome tires, the 54 feels like a 600 in corners with these tires. Warm fast, very sticky, good life expectacy. I have only used them on the street and I love them, If you want track tires do with the Pirelli Corsas.
