I went to my dealer today and got a good look at the 1000rr. It does look better and to me looks bigger in person than a 54. I like it overall but will tell you what I dont like. There is absolutely no trunk. Will only hold a pair of sunglasses. That sucks to me. I like room for gloves, ball cap, phone , and glasses. The rear reservoir for the brake fluid is at the passenger rear set. Removing the rears for racing will leave the delicate little reservoir unprotected. I am sure it would look like ass too. This bike had Corsa tires, me no likey. Bridgestones please. I would love one but I will wait to ride one at someone elses expense before dropping 11g otd.

maybe you could fabricate a custom saddle-bag out of carbon fiber to hook on to where the pipe would go on a side mount! in fact, you chould shape it just like a pipe, and trick all the squids who'd think you had a seperated exhaust!!!

Saw the new 1000 for the first time today also. In my totally unbiased view :D

The CBR is the best looking of the new big boys. It does look like a big bike, but the saddle was comfortable and like the 954, I felt right at home. I am afraid to ride one though, because it will make me want to trade in the 954.

The trunk was smallish, but they had a backpack that matched my leathers.

the front brake rotors seemed to be a lot beefier than the 954 also.

the new cbr is all honda, horrible style, and probably a kick ass machine, honeslty, that things uglier than fat gurl, like a really fat gurl, you know the kind, with the tight clothes, who wont shut the fuck up, but then you wake up next to her dead body, and you need to call 4 friends to come help move her, cause shes so damn fat, and then she GLOGS the woodchipper, yeah that kinda fat

I agree the trunk space is the bikes bigest downfall in myh mind. And before anyone says it I know I was a shit talkin mofo about the looks of the 1000rr but now it has grown on me and I think I am gona get one but this is still to be determined...
