Whaazzzzzzzz uuuuuuuuuuppppppp????? I'm new to this forum stuff but hello from nashville tn. I was wondering if anyone else has a ticking in the motor on their 1krr..Mine is a "04...all black with about 3400 miles on it. The sound is more prevelent around 3g when slowing down. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated..Thanks.. :lol:

I'm Rob and I have a ticking problem, wait, we all bought 1000RR's, we ALL HAVE A TICKING PROBLEM!!!

The ticking you hear is most likely the very noisy fuel injectors which are located above the engine and under the tank cover.

Thanks guys...so hopefully it's not something to worry about ????Just thought i would get a second opinion...I asked the dealer and they said I don't hear it...

I'm also wanting to change the exhaust...any suggestions?? I spoke with a honda mechanic at road atlanta last weekend and he suggested jardine...but thats a sponsor, so go figure.....

Well it depends on the sound you want out of your bike. I have the D&D and it is the sickest sound i have heard out of any exhaust and every one of the guys i ride with say the same thing...

Welcome and I third it, nothing to worry about, it's just an RR.

As far as exhaust, the HRC guys are going to say Jardine, it's their job lol. I have had one before but it wasn't my favorite I have owned. I like my exhaust to be loud when I want it and mellow the rest of the time. Right now I run a titanium Akrapovic and if I had to choose a different one, it would be Arrow or Sato but that is about it for me.

The Yosh is great. Nice mellow sound at idle, but wails @ high rpm's. Very good finish. The new c/f end cap on the c/f can looks as good as a dog with two dicks feels.

well im glad this thread has cleared up that ticking problem. when i 1st rode my 1k out of the dealership i heard, thought something was outta wack. (whew)
