Wheelie 09-23-2005, 01:18 PM Weather people are saying East Texas is going to get it worse than Dallas, I trust you have prepared for alot of rain, clean gutters, make sure all drainage areas are clear, gassed up, plenty of water (fill the bathtub with water when the weather gets bad in case there is no water so you can flush toliets) just do what you can to try to help prevent water from getting into your home. Our Prayers are with you and your Family. God Bless. weeee
Wheelie 09-23-2005, 01:21 PM Ive been making ice for a couple of days and putting it in a big cooler.Candles, lighters, flashlights, batteries, Deer cabin food. sounds like a bunch of camping stuff, LOL. weee
By-Tor 09-23-2005, 01:43 PM Hang in there guys.
cbrjimmy1KRR 09-23-2005, 03:05 PM yes to all that wheelie.....thanks for the concern. they are saying we could get upwards of 20 inches in less than 24 hours
i have a little to do yet, but it'll be ok as long as the trees stay put.
Wheelie 09-24-2005, 10:42 AM Jim-Jim, whats the weather report in Longview? Dallas may not get any rain. weee
cbrjimmy1KRR 09-24-2005, 11:03 AM power is off and on right. we live across from a swtich station and there's a worker staying over there hooking things back up when the power goes down, so we're lucky so far. Most of longview is out of power right now. we're getting more than an inch an hour and wind gusts up to 50. my yard is trashed with debris, but so far so good. the worst isn't here yet
Wheelie 09-24-2005, 11:04 AM Just looked at the radar, that thing is moving fast toward the Dallas area, the weatherman may be wrong. wee
Wheelie 09-24-2005, 11:07 AM I hope that rr is in the house! wee

Wheelie 09-24-2005, 04:45 PM wind gust up to 50mph in Dallas, electric went out for about 10 minutes, no rain 5:45pm.. weee
Wheelie 09-24-2005, 08:17 PM Well, the weather predictions were wrong, Rita didnt stall out in East Texas, she's moving out fast towards the North East, im guessing Jimmy is without electricity since he hasnt posted in a few hours, I trust damage was light. Let us know how you and your Family are you East Texas Hillbilly! weee
cbrjimmy1KRR 09-24-2005, 09:40 PM we're all good here. as a matter of fact i may even get to ride tomorrow. they're calling for partly cloudy skies an 90 degrees. i had a storage building built that's pretty heavy duty, so the bike is in there and nice and safe. thanks for the concern bros!!
things coulda been a whole lot worse. we're still having pretty strongs winds, but the rain is just a heavy mist now.
By-Tor 09-24-2005, 10:06 PM Glad to hear you're pretty much in the clear Jimmy.
Yeah, I would go riding too. You could always clean all the yard debris later
