I had to share this story. I was headed with a group of people down a country road when I approached an intersection at 50mph I had no stop sign, the car in the opposite direction was doing 75 in a 55mph and never slowed for the stop sign.

I slammed on both brakes going into a slid until my front tire struck his vehicle slamming my steering sideways. Since my front tire was sliding I was able to yank the steering back straight. I came to a stop in a bar parking lot. Holly crap!! My friend behind me said all I heard was a loud bang and a cloud of dust I thought you were dead. That was my steering being slammed sideways.

THIS IS THE BEST BIKE EVEN. I was able to control it through a slide and it stopped on a dime. Well the story goes next, lets get'em. We tracked them down and boxed them in until we stopped them. Well what do you know two Mexicans illegal with no license. After grabbing him taking his keys and calling the state police. I heard the Mexican say in Spanish to run I grabbed him and said if you run I will beat your ass.
With all the Mexicans you think I don't know spanish stupid ass...

The state police towed his car and arrested him. SWEET!!! I almost beat his ass and left him in the country, but I controlled myself...

No better bike than this one. Does anyone notice the stopping power of this bike. The steering stabilizer worked great for that kind of force. I am alive and no damage to my bike, just a black skid mark on the side of his van.... ITS GOOD TO BE ALIVE!!!!!

 Damn , that is a crazy story! You should've beat them down and left them in the ditch -- no one would've missed them anyway :x

Nothing broke that I can tell. I seems like I can feel a thumping in the front end at speeds over 45mph. Feels like I have a flat. But the tire is not low. I cant see what it could be. Bent rim????

Thanks for the support.

possibly. the impact could have also hosed your front wheel bearings. jack up the front and check for notchiness/bearing play/excessive runout in the wheel and rotor.

glad to hear that you are ok dude...also check your tire for a flat spot...a good skid will sometimes flatspot the tire even if you jave trouble seeing it. you might also check to make sure the brake caliber is still true

Glad to hear that you or your bike were not damaged or totalled. But of course if either you or it was, you could always collect for your medical costs and damages to your bike from the Mexican's auto insurance company. :)

I doubt the Mexicans had insurance being that they were illegals and had no license.
