so after waiting over 3 hours for his dad to come 4 of us decided to ride home. logged about 500 miles, but didn't make it to our destination. at least he's ok after having to contend with a concrete barricade (50' sheer drop off on the other side) and a guard rail. i'm buying some draggin jeans

Glad to hear you're ok but about Dragging jeans.....if you get a set of knee pads from Fox ($12.00) to wear under your jeans you'll be alot safer; how do i know....Oh i know! been there done that and if it wasn't for them i might of needed a plastic knee cap last October

that is some po-dunk EMS isnt it?
is that a Sparks hospital?
we pick up pts from down there all the time

I tend to start flipping everybody off anytime I have to be in the hospital too
so I'll take it,
that was prob after some dumb nurse scrubbed all that shit out of there,
while lecturing you of the dangers of motorcycles, right?

glad he didnt have to fly out

i don't know the name of the hospital, medic, it was located just outside of Talihina.

i have more pics.....wait until you see the fire truck they brought out.

you ems folk.....is it standard procedure to cover a minor flesh wound like that and not flush it with some saline solution to get some of the crap outta there? because all they did was throw some gauze over it and wrap him up.

hell, the first responders lived in a RV park in Big Cedar......you tell me if it was podunk...LOL

I typically cover the wound in the field and let Hospital staff do the clean up, unless there is just a huge amount of debris, a caustic substance (that does not react badly with water), or glass, then I irrigate it. A lot of times cleaning can cause it to bleed worse, plus our work environment is not exactly sterile, hehehe.

Our main focus for things like that in the field is bleeding control.

being a first responder living @ RV park in Big Cedar is sounding pretty good right now
hell I will even put a fishin' hook in my hat

those guys dont get a chance to work much so they made it all pretty for ya
just to be cut off the sec you hit the hospital, right?

I would prob just splashed some sterile water on there, wet a few 4x4's & thrown them on there
called it good, knowing you might get a little pain med for the scrub down @ the hospital
but I am guessing that didnt happen
hell you were lucky you we not strapped to a spine-board for 3 hrs
