I don't know about NJ, but I always understood that once a salvage title, always a salvage title. In CT, you have to have your salvage title vehicle inspected before you are issued plates to prove that it is once again road worthy. It will still be a salvage title though.

Thor is correct. The only thing you could do is buy a good frame with a clear title and change it out. This is the only way that I know of you can get around this. 8)

i would say salvage but you can have it inspected and use it back on the street ;)

it would only say salvage on the tittle if that and you should only worry about that if you're going to sell it. oh and BTW if you are going to then halla at your boy 8)

I don't care what the title says. I just want to be able to ride it on the street once in a while between track days. I don't want to buy another bike when I get itchy to ride. I can see that 70 degree day in late March with nothing to do. Hey it is November and it has gotten to 68 degrees.

the salvage process is just the way the state checks to make sure a vehicle is rebuilt properly when damaged and with legit parts.(they want receipts for everything) once a title is branded salvage it remains on their for life, but the vehicle can be used once it passes the states inspection. if your vehicle is being totaled by the insurance co and they subtract the money they are paying you and allow you to keep the bike it wont become a salvage title because it doesnt go through the insurance auction process etc.... anyway if you need more info pm me and i'll send you my number, I know all about the process etc.....
