: Hayden vs Rossi
Dan954 11-05-2005, 07:45 PM Guys I've been to some other sites and they are comparing Hayden and Rossi. You know Hayden is going to start handing Rossi his ass and all of this just because nicky is getting better but he has a hell of a way to go before you can put him in the same class as Rossi. Rossi has proven him self time and time agan. Maybe some day Hayden can start winning 5 or 6 races in a row and then a couple of championships but until then he's just trying to hang with Rossi. Now I'm not saying Hayden can't ride he's one of the best hell all of them have skills just to be on a gp track . I just think people are funny when you hear that kind of talk
vt954 11-05-2005, 08:06 PM Rossi is so far ahead of everyone else it is unfair to them. He's like Jordan was. To compare anyone to him isn't very realistic. Rossi is that one in a million with the super talent. When Nicky wins everyone championship in every class and then goes to the worst team and does it again, we can start comparing them. Not to say Nicky isn't a great rider, he just isn't Rossi.

I just wish I had 10% of the talent of anyone that can make the grid for a GP race. I'm :lame: on the track compared to any of those guys. :x
1WHEELMAX 11-09-2005, 08:01 PM Hayden is no Rossi.
Rossi is the champ for a reason.

And Hayden will be soon.
Every dog has his day. or two or three or... well I'll shutup now. :)
Nemisis 11-10-2005, 05:34 AM I honestly don't believe Rossi is all talent. Rossi is just a freak of nature. I have been athletic my whole life and have seen people that did not have to try to be good at their sport. It just came easy. In high school a kid ran a mid 10 the very first time he ran the 100. Everyone knew he was going to the Olimpics. Special trainers came in to take credit for talent this kid was born with. Do we honestly think that hard work and training would make us all professional athletes? Rossi was just born with a lot extra of what ever it is I wasn't. (Kid decided to get high and drunk instead.)
gntbldr 11-10-2005, 08:07 AM damn, dude buckled frombeing pushed around by others' dreams fed into him,eh?
good thing our race riding heros aren't like that...
Big Daddy 11-10-2005, 09:54 AM Hayden ia an awesome rider. He doesnt get the credit he deserves. If you podium in almost every Motogp race of the season and win 1, well Id say you are a dam good rider. His time is coming
bdl
Flightmedic954 11-10-2005, 01:06 PM did he podiumalmost every race? I thought he didnt do so well untill half way through

1WHEELMAX 11-10-2005, 03:38 PM Hayden is a great rider but he still can't ride like Rossi even if its god given or earned.
I'm a Hayden fan thru and thru, hell I've been at a lot of the dirt races he was at growing up and senn him kicking ass as a kid.
I'm all for hayden winning a championship but until he wins it a couple of times on the honda and switches to another bike and wins it again for another couple of years, he's not as good as rossi.
but then again this is just my opinion. :-D
resuscit8u 11-10-2005, 10:29 PM Very very few riders beat Rossi more than once this year.
Hayden was one of them.
Not yet an equal, but he is gaining fast. Rossi is at a plateau, no room to really improve. Hayden does have room for improvement and is using it to his advantage, and quite frankly, is hungrier than Rossi.
Rossi has one unfair advantage over Hayden, he grew up on those tracks If Hayden grea up in Europe he would be fairing better than he is now. THat being said, Rossi is unreal, he can't be human. Anyone who watched that rainy race in England can tell. His bike shot out from under him at least 4 times and it was like nothing to him, he just straightened it right out. Once Rossi goes away, the races just may be up for grabs again.
1WHEELMAX 11-11-2005, 08:54 PM how bout the race a couple of seasons ago were he got a 10 second penilty and still won the race now that was impressive.
I wish Hayden would come back to the states and whip up on mladin.

He proved his point and beat Mladin already though, on an RC51 no less.
Mladin went to GP and failed miserably, and came back. (So did Duhamel)
Terry 11-12-2005, 12:45 PM Rossi cannot be denied, as long as he races motogp, & stays healthy, he will be the man to beat. Hayden, & Melandri are a couple hungry pilots that are ready to take the torch, cause Rossi aint passing the torch yet. I cannot predict anything, because I'll probably guess wrong. Would'nt it be something if Pedrosa won the championship in his 1st season, heck, it could happen.

What years, what teams, and how bad please?

Mladin rode for Cagiva in 500GP in 1995, and Duhamel rode for Yamaha in 1992. Duhamel also is the only rider in World Superbike History to podium in every race he entered (There were only 3 though, hehehehehe)
They did as badly as could be done, both ended their seasons somewhere around 17th to 20th.
Hayden smoked Mladin for the the title on AMA Superbikes in 2002.
