Everything went well. Except for them sticking a big ass tube down my throat into my lungs.

i've got two pins in my arm right now which should be coming out next week hopefully.

The Bike is offically Totalled and they will be letting me keep the bike. They're going to subtract the salvage value of the bike from the property damage check. I don't know how much they are giving me yet.

I will most likely repair this bike and then buy the 1000RR. :D Or I may ebay the 999 as is. I can probably get anywhere from $5000-$7000 as is. Or I may get another new 999 and keep this one for track bike/spare parts bike. I really don't know yet. I'll know for sure once I know how much $$$ I'm getting.

I'll be riding again by June the latest. I just don't know if my shoulder will ever be 100% again.

my friend got 4g's for a 998 motor on ebay..you will get alot more then 7g's..but i think your talking shit..just fix it and ride it or sell it..you aint doing any trackdays we alll know that..get the 1000RR or the Gixxer 1000..im gonna wait till the price on the 1000RR drops down below 10g's and then ill get it..im in no rush..I got my 600 to take care of business..

I was thinking of taking the bike to computrack to let them sort our the frame and forks. Then sell the rashed body work and replace with new bodywork. Get new rearsets, a slip-on exhaust, instrument panel, headlight assembly, and a new front fairing. I'll be all set to go for under $4000. Oh, and I'll need a new radiator or I can have this one fixed.

If I sold the bike on Ebay, my reserve would probably be $7,000.

Regarding the GSX-R750, I gave myself headaches before I bought the 999 because I really wanted the Gixxer. That things a true sleeper. That's gotta be the best handling bike on the streets.

If I'm clever I may get out of having a salvage title for the bike. :wink:

I got someone that can fix your plastics and at a good price..he fixed Flips bike after he went down..came out mint..only $500 with painting..

Turbo,fix the Duc sell it, buy a RR or a Gixxer and just ride that bitch.Stop thinking about expensive bikes that are no better than the jap bikes except maybe for poseur value.

P.s if you must have a track bike buy a 2 year old allready prepped gsx-r 600

its been a few days, hows the recovery going?

The pins are staying in for 5 more weeks. I have a followup doctors appointment today. I have everything worked out with the bike repairs. I'm just waiting for the Ins. Money. As soon as these pins come out, I should be able to ride. Hopefully everything will happen at the same time. The money should come around the time the pins come out.

Although, one of the pins are giving me problems. I think it's hitting a nerver or something cause when I move a certain way I get really sharp pains.

I just don't know if my shoulder will ever be 100% again.

every nicely damaged part I've had has taken a year to feel close to 100% and 3 years till you can honestly say it's as 100% as you can remember.

more than likely not... you'll get those for a few months here and there till it all wears iin after it's healed. Just think of it as having to wearing in a new seat in the socket. that's about all it's doing, and it'll hurt.
