im going to my first track day at the end of may and was wondering what tires u guys use for your 954. I dont want just a gp tire i was looking for a street/track tire.I heard the diablo corsas/corso were nice tires but my dealer doesnt have them in stock they only carry dunlop/michelin/bridgestone. Im going away next week to florida for 2 weeks so i wont have time to order the pirellas from the dealer and then have them put on.

do you guys usually mount your own tires if so how?(i hear dish soap works) and if not whats the best tire for me to throw on from dunlop/mich/or bridgestone

Ive been on BT-10's, Pilot Sports and a few other ones I cant remember, I just shod the 954 with the diablo corsas 180 rear 120 front, You cant go wrong. All I can say is they stick better than any other tire ive every used. A freind of mine Ron, Is trully fast and said the same thing. Another freind of mine tracked em and for three hours pounded em at VIR. Then put super corsas on and said that he couldnt tell any difference between the two.
I rode behind a freind of mine on his RC-51 he is religeous about 208's and he was slidding all over the place and I never had even a nudge.
Go with what you trust, but you owe it to youreself to try the Diablo corsa. :wink:
