No, I have full D&D, with PC3. Bike runs excellent....I was just wondering about the carbon. I'm due for oil change in about another 100 miles.

Welcome to the Forum mudd96

carbon build-up is normal and down by you the gas is much richer than up here, (love riding cross country and feeling the difference in quality gas. :) )

it's especially normal if you run low octane fuel (87) most the time.

on a side note do you have a custom map?
and what's your milage per tank?

an average mileage per tank with a full system and pc3 is around 120 miles,
anything less and you may be running rich
anything more means you may be running lean

mudd, running rich is good, but running rich at cruising rpm is not good, sounds like thats what you have, it screams at hi rev's, your map is probably good there, but its not lean enough in the low reving range, call Dynojet and talk with a tech about another map. or you can play with it (mid range)yourself, make sure to clean the inside tip of your pipe so you can see if its still running to rich. you can also tell by the plugs. btw, Welcome to 1000rr.com weeee

well they pretty much said what I thought, I was wondering about the pipe and pc, I would say your running rich in the rpm range your riding in most of the time.

welcome to the site

you don't have a full system you have a D&D slipon
the map on your bike was for a jardine slipon and modified on the dyno
it was put on by this guy http://www.powercommander.com/opccraginet.shtml
your bike is making 137 hp
if your talking about the black carbon build up at the end of the tail pipe it has always done that

i've always run the highest octane fuel and synthetic oil only.

when i get my new bike we will go for a ride, I'll show you where i made that video, but don't fly past me and scare the hell out of me with the D&D. I remember how much fun that was..
