Tied the Big Gix. I guess now it's down to rideability.
Da1000RRStuna 01-17-2004, 07:39 PM stock 954 139hp? since when?
Da999TestastrettaStuna 01-17-2004, 07:55 PM The best thing Honda did was take that clown Tadeo Baba off the CBR project.
Anonymous 01-17-2004, 09:01 PM My sea level HP was 132.5 RWHP.... I always like to see a honda with a better dyno than the G1K... I wonder how well the new RR will do againt the 2004 model G1K.. I am not even sure they changed anyhting for the Gix or did they?
Anonymous 01-17-2004, 10:52 PM I think I must have got a bad 954 or something I'm in the low 140's with full system and pc3r. :x
but we will see real #'s before long. and we will see who is getting it to the ground the best.
olderRR. 01-17-2004, 10:54 PM OHHH. So THAT'S what a tie looks like...:? :?
cbrjimmy1KRR 01-18-2004, 10:48 AM 139hp :? i remember them saying the 954 that they had loosened up quite a bit. the initial hp number was around 132 and i still think that was a little generous. so if sport rider is known for telling tall tales.....were looking at about 142 to 146 hp.......i ain't spending major $$$$ for that. i'm close enough to those #'s now to make me happy :P the kicker will be all the trick shit on the 1000. i'm a gadget freak!!!
we'll have to wait and see "actual" numbers, made by unbiased people before i make my decision.
cbrjimmy1KRR 01-18-2004, 10:49 AM OLDERRR.....YOU SIGNED IN!!!!! :P
otisroy 01-18-2004, 10:56 AM If the 954 picked up nearly 7 horses after everything seated it makes sense that the 1000rr will too :D 160 rwhp would be all right with me.
cbrjimmy1KRR 01-18-2004, 11:47 AM 160 rwhp would be all right with me.
i don't think it'll happen stock
otisroy 01-18-2004, 11:54 AM Probably not, but with a pipe and PC3 it shouldn't be too hard. Unless you're looking to drop weight, is there any reason to get a full system with 1000rr since it sounds like the flow restrictor for low-mid range torque is in the can?
cbrjimmy1KRR 01-18-2004, 12:13 PM this what you're talking about otis? http://www.cbr954rr.com/albums/cbr1000rr/ExhaustValve_400p.jpg
if so, you'd need the whole system i'm thinking.
olderRR. 01-18-2004, 02:31 PM :D :D HAHAHA
CBRJIMMY!! YEAH! Only took me 3 weeks to figure it out :!:
I just read that the same place dynoed the '04 R1 at 150. I'll see if I can find the link. Shouldn't take more than about 3 weeks.
Da1000RRStuna 01-18-2004, 02:59 PM everything should get a full exhaust!!!
adds alot more HP and looses alot of weight..
look by the foot peg right under it..looks like a little something to restrict the flow..plus the exhaust valve!! remove all that shit and I bet it will make alot more HP

otisroy 01-18-2004, 04:51 PM Yeah Jimmy, that's what I'm talking about!!! If the HP numbers are true, then I'm thinking of just getting a slip-on to free up a couple ponies and change the exhaust note so the blue hairs know I'm coming. As far as dropping a few a pounds from the exhast I could stand to up my running mileage and drop a couple off of me :D
Anonymous 01-18-2004, 04:57 PM I could stand to up my running mileage and drop a couple off of me
ditto on that one I could stand to loose a few myself
Da1000RRStuna 01-18-2004, 05:57 PM where the fuck are you guys going that you need to drop weight? :?
im 225 on a 600 and im still busting shit up..
Da999TestastrettaStuna 01-18-2004, 06:02 PM where the fuck are you guys going that you need to drop weight?

Yeah Stuna,
You could lose about another 10lbs yourself, then MAYBE you can spar with me.
I'll knock yo azz down with my right jab, left cross, right hook combo and then if that doesn't drop you, I'll Hirai Goshi yo azz and finish you off with a armbar submission hold. Beeeee iiiiiiiiitttttttttccccchhhhh!!!!!
cbrjimmy1KRR 01-18-2004, 06:17 PM :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: again
im 225 on a 600 and im still busting shit up..
stuna...one of the best nights i had last summer was on a F4i.....i was waiting at least 5 minutes before i heard the rest of my group. 2 R1's, 2 G1K'S, and (i hate to say it  ) a 954. i'm 6'3" 230
Wheelie 01-18-2004, 06:53 PM Click Click BOOM. weeeeee

cbrjimmy1KRR 01-18-2004, 07:46 PM heh......that got me, right through the heart. oooooo how can i go on? :stupid:
by the way....learn how to use the board you goof
Da1000RRStuna 01-18-2004, 08:03 PM turbo can get you guys going so fast.. :P
otisroy 01-19-2004, 01:12 PM If they're putting cats on all the models, then I'm definitely going with a full system. Otherwise, it looks like replacing the can gets rid of the backpressure valve.
Anonymous 01-19-2004, 06:57 PM I should pull about 300HP on that dyno..... :D
RZ350 01-19-2004, 06:59 PM Hmmmm...
Black600rr 02-03-2004, 11:51 PM The litre bikes really steped it up this year
MRGIXXER 02-08-2004, 08:54 AM im 225 on a 600 and im still busting shit up..
