Thinking of installing Pirelli Super Corsas for street use. What kind of mileage can I expect to see out of a compound like this? Any other tire suggestions? Any reason I should not do this. I have about 500 miles left on my current tires and need to make a decision soon.

Its a waste of money to do that for street riding.... You will be lucky to even get half the normal wear out of them

I run those tires on the street but i got (scrubs) race taske off's ther a nice tire good traction ill get about 3500 miles and there cooked,, but if you get some get scrubs , if you gotta buy them new i wouldnt waste the $$$$ if you want to try them look for a set of scrubs on e bay at least you wont be out a fortone to do it

your nuts to put race take offs on your bike..
after a few races the compound get burnt out of them..
i never used a race tire on the street in my life..my BT02's got heated up nice and stick great..on the street you aint pushing a tire the same as if you was on the track.
get your self a set of good street tires and you wont have a problem..

if you like I got a set of brand new Bt02's off a new 2004 R1 they have 250 miles on them..$190 shipped..

Hey Stuna, how do you think the BT's compare to M1's? My brother has 400 miles on his M1's but its been so cold in the mornings they dont reach full heat. Any idea or are the differences so subtle that it is not worth getting a headache over? What ever tires I get I will ride on till their end so I want to make a good decision.

they only had a few laps on them ,,, the ones i got and new up here there big bucks man lie 800 a set retail probly get them for 500 - 600 but i think ill go with more of a street tire next time cause i want em to last a while longer

Stunas right you need to worry about how many heat cycles they have gone through not how many laps.

I got the bt012's on my bike..I had them on other bikes..there work great..they heat up pretty fast also..also the supercorsa and rennsports are even better in a med compund..

Ive got about 2000 on my diablo corsas and still have a little left. They are wearing very good even though I scuff hell out of them every time I ride. I wrecked on BT-10s comming into a curve to fast and had both the front and the back sliding. I believe if I had these tires on Id of made the curve. 8)
