If so, what type of marketing do you guys recommend for a relatively new guy on the block (almost a year now in the busines).? Got my own website going up very soon. Does anyone know of any search engine optimization tools for my site? I'm on a buget, but I need to market myself out there quickly!

I've only closed on 2 houses so far but I have 3 listings now and 2 more in the works. Point being that I don't have that many past clients to ask for referrals from.

Try your local Chamber of Commerce. They have they have web link and discounted advertising for members. Also Chamber Members seem to use other members before someone who is not. Try finding a LATIP group in your area. I'm sure the LATIP groups differ from area to area but they all send referrals to people in their group and each group only has one professional for that particular service.Good Luck.

Well you probably want to become a member of the MLS so you can get all those listings. Some brokers work together sharing commisions so that they can make more sales.
You really need to get into the phone book cause thats where a lot of people look. Also try creative yard sighns with a catchy picture of yourself or youre buisness. You need to come up with a service mark for youre buisness that stands you out above the crowd. Register youre buisness domaine so you can set up a web site. Ill post back later with a good company that will help you with all of web services. You can make flyers that you can staple onto telephone poles. You can do about 1000 of these for about 30 bucks. Of course make youreself buisness cards showing youre service mark with all buisness informaiton and place them everywhere you can. By word of mouth. If I think of anything else Ill let you know. You can do flyers and put them onto windsheilds in select parking lots, be prepared for negative calls on this but also be prpared for calls giving you leads on work. 8)
