Has anyone known or done powder coating on rims? I know it can be done but just wanted some advice on do's and don'ts of doing a rim, like don't coat the bead area, or do.... Might be a dumb question but oh well!

the rims will first need the valve stems, rotors, rubber cusions from the sprocket, seals, and bearings removed. all this you will most likely have to do before you take them in. but maybe the place will do it for you too.

then they'll go into an acid dip,
after that hubs get heat taped, the valve stem area also gets taped and so does the entire bead surface like you mentioned.

Should look good when you get them on. I'm having my swingarm done, bearings are a pain to remove.
