Hey, all.
I was curious as to what tires you're all running, all that you have run and your feedback on them from your perspectives.

looking for tire info on one that will handle high speed runs, grip well and get maybe 3k out of without too much of the flat center.

I have used the BT12 and BT 010 (fr & Rear) since day one. You can grind pegs all day long on a clean surface. May try the 014 next. Lots of choices out there but these have served me well. Jeff

i have tried dunslop, michelin pilot, and will stick with the BT 012's for as long as i have this bike. i have really cooked em and they hold up well. on about my 7th or 8th rear and 4th front

BT012's came stock on the 954. Great wear, about 3400 miles and were always predictable in their grip. Never any question that these tires would hold in a turn. Even on the higher speed hairpins when the back tire would break loose the grip was always reasuring. Just put on the Michelin Pilot's - only two rides so far, so no real opinion yet. I just hope I like these as much as the BT's

had them both and the pilots greased out in the turns a little more than the bt's and slide at a faster rate than the bts too. fun for their own resons.
I ran the bt's in the cold (30F - 55F) and rode them hard and they held up better than the pilots with their predictability and control but when it came time for a nice quick throwaway and a fun tire when warmed up I say to myself go pilots and getcha 2k to 3 sumthing and have a hella time, you know.
But for all terrain hard coring I've loved the bt12's for around 3k and then their tire is done and only able to be ridden on till you save up the dough for a new rear of choice.
Ran a straight old d208 and loved them for the intermediate bt12 and pilot mix with about 3800 total... solid all around useable tire.

It'd be nice if tires could go a while longer and was curious as to what almost all tires are doing for everybody with their riding styles per tire so I can choose one that best fits without having to spend big bank to find it. So those are the ones that I've tried and liked on the 954 and similar goes to with on my other ride I used some on.

I wanted to do a poll about it too but wasn't able to apply enough patience to figure it out with all I was trying to accomplish last night

I'm interested in the diablo corsas for a try out on and also the m1's and if I ever get daring again I'll set something up with avons on and track it...

I got about 7K miles out of my 12's. A few 100+ mph runs and alot of cornering but no track days on those tires. They are an excellent all around street tire, now I have Pirelli Diablos and I can throw the 54 down in a corner like I'm riding a 600. I love the Diablos because they are stickier so I can hold my line better which means better cornering. Just waiting to see how miles I can get out of them.

I had pilot sports when i bought it last october. Following a guy running 208s he was slidding a lot, I wasnt slidding much at all but I could feel it giving in the front and the back so it was unsettleing for me to feel the front giving even though I got on the edge of the front. Ive put on a set of diablo corsas and even when first starting off before they warm up I can feel a little slidding but not much. Once they warm up I dont feel any at all . I am almost ready to put another one on the back at about 1900 miles, which Id like to see more milage than that but if it meant the difference between more grip or less grip Ill take the more and settle for less milage. All the track junkies that has tried em that I know that is a true rider has said they have about the same grip as supercorsas and is one of the stickiest tires for the road. In my oppinion they grip the best of any tire ive tried.

anything more than 3,000 miles just amazes me......i guess i need to let up on the ole throttle a little bit.....i bet i've spent as much on tires in the last 2+ years and 23,000 miles as i did on the bike itself

Crap, where does that rank me at 1800 miles on the rear :!: I dont spinn either, dont beleive in burning rubber other than in the twisties

if you run hard starts and 130+mph full throttle runs you best believe your rear tire's spinning. No matter what suspension setup you run.
damn thing burns up with too much of either.
And that's just from heading to the most local highspeed safe twisties.

it is all about the metzler sportecs- 190 in the ass end, had the pilot sports for a long time, they were great, but the sportecs are still a notch above

Jimmy, you must ride full throttle everywhere, I did alot of scenic, relaxing rides on the BTO's and not that it matters but I keep my bike on rear and front stands. When I hit 7K, both tires were shot to hell.

my front still has 1/2 tread, my back was pretty much shot, probably 200 miles left to it... but i got GREAT wear out of that BT012, so i am not complaining, and most the time, my average speed was 80+.... with a "couple" :P of 160+ runs too....
