The bike starts life as a stock 999 Biposto; an excellent high performance bike on its own. But as a master Ducati tuner, Mr. Ferracci knew there was room for improvement. He started with a custom stoker crank and punching the engine up to 1040cc. All of the related internals were reinforced and the compression raised. Next was developing a custom FBF full exhaust and Power Commander with a custom map. All of which was painstakingly tuned on the FBF dyno to yield the ultimate in power.

The results of Mr. Ferracci's effort: Try 150 REAR WHEEL HORESEPOWER! (not at the crank, but at the rear wheel!) One of the fastest Ducati's you can buy with a passenger seat.

SPECS:
• 1040cc kit with 100x66mm bore and stroke
• Special Corsa stroker crank
• Pankl Titanium Rods
• Full FBF 48-54mm race exhaust System
• Power Commander III USB with custom map
• Special head and base gaskets for increased compression
• 150 REAR WHEEL HORSEPOWER!

So does that mean a two seater Ducati makes more power than your $30,000race bike?

My bike is legal for:

Supertwins
Unlimited Superbike
GTU

I'm not sure what that bike is legal for. And my power delivery is probably a hell of a lot smoother.

But this is a nice animal nonetheless. And I WANT ONE!!!!

I was just messing with you!

That would make a good street bike to go along with the race bike though. You could throw the old lady on the back and go for a rip!

Yeah,

Same power, for a fraction of the cost. I would have to investigate other reliability issues.

Remember, my racebike is reliable power. This bike is built, but I would want to see how it holds up. This bike has custom gaskets and the whole bit. It would be extremely difficult to service if Ferracci doesn't do it.

I could get a brand new 999 on the racer discount, rebuild my rear Showa shock, get some forged aluminum rims, send the motor off to Ferraci and still be under $20G's.

See my last post right before yours. I could probably pull this one off for $20G's the most with dialed in suspension and forged aluminum wheels. Maybe less if I buy the bike used.

I think this bike would kick my bikes ass on the bottom end. I think my bike would beat it on top though.

i expected that he'd get more than 50cc's out of a stroked and bored motor. but i dont know shit about duc's.

for a streetbike, why not get a jap bike? sink more money into the duc, and thrash the shit out of a new 1000.

Truthfully, I can't really sink any more money into the duc. Maybe a carbon fiber gas tank, ceramic rotors, but that's really all that's left. Maybe cosmetic stuff here and there.

I do like the new ZX-10R enough to buy it. But I'm holding out probably for '07 before I ride street again. Lots of big things are supposed to happen that year.

You bet your ass it is:coolgleamA: My money is being spent on suspension. 1500 dollars worth of exhaust won't get me through the corners as fast as 1500 dollars worth of suspension will. The only thing I did to my bike to make more power is the flapper mod and I also disconnected the exhaust valve. Both of those mods are free:coolgleamA: :coolgleamA:
