I went for a ride this afternoon and went by the local bike shop. Those guys had just sold a black and grey 1000rr to a newbie that stalled the bike three times before he even got out of the parking lot. I asked them what were they thinking. The guy took off at half throttle and dissapeared. Who wants to put dibbs on if he even made it home or not :!: :wink:

no dibbs. I just pray the newbie listens to good advice when it comes and takes it sloooow.

I wirked at a dealership in Seattle and this Iranian guy rolls up in a conv. m-5 BMW with a bunch of white ho's to buy a Muzzy ZX-7. he gets all the bling bling stuff installed same day, pays cash, and pulls out with his crew following him... He pulls out in front of some car and kills it. Can't figure out what gear he is in and I have to run out to get him going... We all look at each other and shake our heads knowing we are going to see him soon....

1 week later.... Guy rolls in with the same crew to drop the bike off for an insurance claim... He says his 'friend' bumped it while it was in his garage and knocked it over...

Funny thing was the whole right side had LATERAL road rash. The lever was sheared off and he was in a cast!

Do you ever wonder what you were like when you were new??? I don't remember.

I remember, I bought a 1986 honda intercepter 700, the test drive of the bike was when I learned. I bought it about 20 miles from my house, luckily I got it home safe. I rode around my neighborhood for two weeks before I ventured onto the turnpike and two more weeks before I went on the highway. I took it real easy for a month, then I broke out of my shell and I ripped it!!

the dealership where i bout my bike was very skeptical of selling me my bike ... then i borrowed my buddies bike showed off in front a lil and they losened up.

Well after seeing him stall it three times in the parking lot I was very worried for the guy and the bike. There was another guy that bought a kawi superbullet 900 less than a month ago and I went by my buddys shop and there it was," mangled" with 3500.00 in damages. The guy showed up and told of the classic misstake a new squid pulls, basicially he just rode it off the road. There has been at least three kids that I know of that bought a new bike only to get killed on the way home. Can you imagine, Youre on youre way to pick up youre brand new 1000rr not knowing youre gonna be dead in another couple of hours.
Well enough doom and gloom back to riding. :wink:
