Winter in Utah. Just dandy. I don't think I've seen a blue sky in a month. I saw on the news that it hasn't exactly been a heat wave in NY either. Nice windchill you fellas get! Here's some pics of by my house.
A glimpse of the sun. Nice alpenglow.

From my backyard. The top of that mt. is where the 2002 Olympic downhill was held.

Yeah, I guess it wouldn't be too good for quads. It fuckin' rocks for boarding though. I love to head up there when it's dumping like a motherfucker 'cause it keeps the tourists and fair-weather posers away, plus you get freshies on every run.

The skiing has been awesome. I've been three times this year where I had to break out the snorkel cause it was SOOO deep. I think it's been at least ten years since it's been like that here. Only thing that's any where near that rush is the bikes!
One of those days we just happened to be at Alta. They closed the canyon to blast the avalanches so we had to stay over night. Nobody could get up the canyon the next day. Towards the end of the day we hiked up and hit the Baldy Chutes. Was Unbelievable!!!

You didnt need to buy a 600RR you need a snomobile or from the looks of it you might even need a snow-cat...

Trapped in Little Cottonwood with a resort and your skis. How did you ever survive :absolute: You're killing with them pics. I'm in the middle of a move and I don't think I'm gonna make it up there this year.
Yeah I caught the end of the winter of '93. Back in the winter of 95/96 it dumped like a mother during January. People back east were complaining about the "great blizzard" and the news said they'd gotten something like 56" since winter began and remember thinking they were a bunch of pussies 'cause SLC airport got 54" in January. I rode(snowboard) Pow-Mow New Years Eve and at the beginning of the day they had an 18" base and it was dumping. By the end of the month they had 144" PACKED.
The old "Greatest Snow on Earth" license plates are dead on. I lived in Europe, rode the Alps in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and the only thing they have on Utah is being able to stop at a mid-mountain lodge for a good frosty malt beverage every now and again.

I have no comprehension of the amout of snow you have there in UT olderRR. just a vague understanding............
speaking of quads in the snow :lmao: I booted out some doughnuts and such in the spare city lot my landlord has with my lil rancher sat    he comes home while I'm just getting done snowblowing and asks if I was driving around in the yard with my truck...lol I'm like noooo  I did it with my 4 wheeler :D he just shook his head and smirked
that stuff was only 10" deep and my 2wd'er barely handled that shtuff
