about a week ago my servo motor went out. i know that it controls a the valve inside the exhaust. but my question is will it hurt anything without it. i turned the servo motor all the way open position i guess. and my bike is a different machine. it sounds and drives better (more bottom end torque). sounds like it breathes alittle better at idle. i was thinking about buying a used servo motor but not hooking up the cables just to turn the FI light off. what do guys think?

Mine has been gone for sometime now...

Other then that damn FI light all is good. Might hook up a gutted one just to fix the light.

if it really has more bottom end
I would be suspicious that is is in the closed position
& you will lose huge off the top w/ it being unable to open

your best bet, if not remove the whole thing & get a full exhaust, may be niners advise to gut the whole thing

but others that are smarter & articulate will chime in

Yea I had mine al ready to go back in with nothing more then the plug and the shaft. But then Hurricane Wilma miss-placed it on me :(

Before I got my exhuast, I got a small rock stuck in my servo and it stripped out a gear. If you still have a warranty, Honda will replace it.
