my friend has her head dead nut set on getting a sport bike. the prob is shes a shorty with LITTLE expierence on a bike. by shorty i mean 5'2" or 5'3". i had her set on my 54 and it wasnt even tippy toes. it was lean the bike way ova just so she could touch earth. no matter how much i talk to her, she insists on getting a sport bike! any suggestions?????? oh and it has to be yellow, blue, or purple. and not an ugly bike. i think by ugly she means the 80's early 90's styles. i showed her my 86 gixxr 1100 and she put her nose right up in the air towards it. what she needs is a kick in the ass! anywho...any ideas?!

My girl whom is also short. Rides my 04 (Blue) 600RR that I installed a lowering link on and dropped the forks about an 1-1/2". She can't stand flat footed but it was better then leaning over at a traffic light to touch.

A lot of the 600's like the R6 or RR, can be lowered for shorter people. The 954 can be lowered as well. If this is her first bike then what I would do is get a 600, lower it. Make sure she take a motorcycle safety course. Also be sure she wears a helmet! Good luck.

if it's her first bike, then Ninja 250, otherwise go SV650 - easy to lower. My girl just got a Honda 599 and it's just a little too tall and she is 5'5" ish. Can't lower it either...
