Hey guys. Just wanted to check in while I had a chance. I was on my way through town and saw a library so I went up the road and got gas and headed back to hit the forum for a minute and take a much needed break. I love this (and the JCSB) forum. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Great people to be found on both forums for sure.
Anyway, I’m in Wisconsin. Don’t ask where. I have no clue. Nor do I care. I don’t have a map and I’m not going to get one till I’m ready to head home. I ride to a stop sign and go the opposite directing as the first car I see. Been making a lot of stops and met quite a few good folks along the way. I hit the Iowa boarder once and the great leaks. So I’ve ran from one side to the other.
Ran out of gas once. Never did find the town that the sign said was ahead. But I was lucky enough to run dry and coast to a stop about 50 yards from a Harley bar. God I thought I was going to get the shit kicked out of me just walking into that place. I counted 30 Harleys parked on the other side of the building. Cars and superior bikes on one side, Harleys on the other. But I walked in and everyone right off the bat pointed out the Mohawk on the helmet. They all loved it. The first guy I walked up to was bob who happened to be the owner of the bar. Cool as hell. A biker was a biker in his eyes. I explained the situation I was in and he was quick to lead me to the garage out back and offered up a full tank of gas and a much needed ice cold Bud Light when we got back inside. He wouldn’t even let me pay him for any of it.
But that’s about it for now. Just rolling where ever the spirit leads me at the moment. No clue where I am and no clue where I’m going. Fucking awesome

And of course I have a few folks to thank. First off, Clayton for the race take offs. I don’t think those slicks would have done too well. I fully expected to have to stop and shell out several hundred bucks at a bike shop for tires and mounting. HUGE HUGE help man. Thanks you very much.
And GNTBLDR for riding with me a little ways north. It was cool to cut up that three lane with you in short spurts. Great to see you in general. But better to see you back on the bike ripping it up. Glad your getting healed and settling back into the groove.
Great to see everyone at the track too. I don’t get to see you guys near enough.
I’ll post something up on JCSB when I get back and have more time and I’ll get some pics up too.
Y’all take care. I’m headed back to the hills and turns.

stopped because of a killer storm rolling through the area.
nothing too major really at the moment.
stopped at a bike shop for an oil change and they have a bike night every wed. night. so i may hang in this are and see check it out if the weather clears up.
logged 1800 miles thus far on the boogered up R1 since sunday afternoon. the clutch is still holding up well. road all day yesterday with a few long breaks. stopped under an over pass somewhere out in BFE and took a nap last night. hung out at a truck stop for a bit and met some very pretty girls from canada on their way to chicago. talked to them for a while and took them for a short ride. got their numbers too. though i don't ever see me making it to canada. but i have them just in case.
nothing else at the moment. just thought i'd check in while it was pissing down the rain.
be back thursday night some time.
take care all.

made it home this morning at 4am
2600 miles in four and a half days.
got clocked doing 174 in a 60. the state trooper was going the other way and never cought up. i had no clue i got clocked. it was about midnight on an empty 4 lane road. a city cop spotted me getting gas and was cool about it. the trooped on the other hand was a bit of a pecker. but they couldn't pin me with it. it was kind of funny once it was done. but i really thought i was going to get towed and locked up for the night.
but i'll get pics up here soon and then i'll put the black hawk pics up in the black hawk thread. got some good ones.

were they trying to get you to fess up to doing it?
I wonder if things would have been different if you had
half the people in prison wouldn't be there if they hadn't admitted to it

the city cop was pretty cool about it. i still wasn't about to admit to anything. but he asked his questions with a smile and a laugh and i answered the same way. he knew i did it by the way i was answering. the trooper on the other hand, he was pretty shity about it and called me a lier. i got a picture with the city cop there. but i wasn't about to step out of line when the state trooper stepped in. but that was the fasted he had ever clocked anyone.
but you know... it wasn't me. man, i had that back pack on the back of the bike. that thing would have blown off if i'd have been going that fast. and the mohawk. do you really think that thing would hold up to speeds like that? now a black and yellow gixxer passed me but he wasn't going much faster than i was and he turned off on a road just before town. may have been him. but it damn sure wasn't me. i like to ride hard, but i'm not totally retarded. hell, you can tell by the bike that i've wrecked it. i don't even have the balls to go that fast even if the bike was able to go that fast. which i don't think it is.

everyone i was able to meet with again was by and far the best sight i could have ever asked for.
hey, the people you share a great time with is what makes the time so great.

roads?
there were some really awesome roads around lake geneva. i had
a good time there. but just out side of wausau was a road (no clue
what it was) but it was freaken dead. i road for what had to be 30
minutes or more, late morning or early afternoon and never saw
one single car. no tight turns at all. went i'd say around 50 miles
with TONS of long sweepers. super smooth and i pushed the
bajesus out of those take offs from clayton at 90 to 120 plus mph.
there was some corn that was hard to see the exit of the turn.
but this freaken road was dead. maybe one house every 5 or so miles.
only real issue i had with anything was the fact that not all the signs
said if i was going north, south, east, or west. and the tar that they
use to fill the cracks there is slick as snot. the road was super
smooth, but towards the end of the hard riding (well, the reason i
slowed down) i hit a nice BIG patch of that shit. the front kicked right
off of it. the rear slid and spun up and kept spinning. i was over 100mph
and damn near shit myself. not what i had expected at all. but it was a
blast. there were some roads up north in the state that were cool and
i went like an hour or so without seeing more than a car or two. but
not all had many real turns bunched up like i enjoy. but it was all fun.
that state is awesome.

i changed cloths in the parking lot of the gas station. wish to god i'd have
had the camera ready for the old woman's face when she pulled in and i was
standing there in nothing but my socks and boxers.

yeah. it was a blast. i had one hell of a time. nothing like just riding with no place to really go. just riding. one day i took off and when i got to a stop light or a stop sign i would wait for the first car to go by. whatever way it came from, that's the direction i went. after about 8 hours of riding, i finaly stopped to see where i was and check a map. it was a nice way to ride. awesome awesome awesome.
