Just got this the other day.. Any one notice if their 1000RR speedo is off? Not sure about mine yet, if it would stop raining for a few hours I could check it out.

That sucks....

Are the Yamis still blowing motors or do we only know about the one we read about a couple months back?

g,
Send me your bike. I'll clock it for you and let you know if it's off.
Proper testing may require additional time and mileage. So I'll only need the bike for about eight to ten weeks and I would only need to put about 4,500 miles on it.

As a 1000RR.COM member I'll do this for you FREE of charge.

Mine is way off.. just like the letter says. I'm cruising along WITH TRAFFIC, and the damn bike is reporting my speed as 50 (traffic = 65+).

carry the letter with you at all times.... In case you get nicked by the cops.

Pull out the letter and tell them that based on the letter you thought you were doing the speed limit.

Go to court to get the ticket dropped if the cop doesn't let you slide...

actually, DONT carry it, ride extra fast, and when ticketed present this letter in court and tell them you werent aware at the time. I mean what are you gonna do, speed extra fast and tell the cop you knew you were going much faster than indicated?
