Folks ... I have a CBR1000RR 06 Black. I have the Intake Flapper Mod and will be performing the PAIR mod. I have also wrapped the pipes to reduce heat.
My question is ... Which SlipOn (not full system) is best for this bike. I will also purchase a BMC filter ( K&N is to restrictive) and Power Commander. I will have a local shop do the DYNO and Mapping.
So could folks feed back with Vendor, HP, and Sound.
Thank You very much .... I will post this up to a couple of other Forumns then share results.

Hey.
I went with the Yosh on my 06. I had one on my 04 as well.
I have detailed pics of the fit on my bike pics page.

The quality, fit and sound works for me!

Great looking bike!
So .... I guess no dyno but how was the Seat Of Pants test ?
How about 3K and under ? still surging and/or rough taking off ?

for slip ons for HP, my picks would be
Sato
Arata
akro
in that order by what I've read everywhere.
for looks and hp I would go with the Akro, that new pipe looks kick ass.

Life is short so I have tried to experience riding as many different sport bikes as I can, besides I got out of the sport for 12 years so I am trying to catch up.

The Sato sounds real nice but for me I don't like the look. I find the round can is too small in diameter. There is so much space around it when looking at the undertail from behind.
Arata has a new can with a shape similar to the Yosh and it was my first choice with it's matt black finish but there was no stock available and I was told it would be 2 1/2 months before there was.
And of course you can never go wrong with an Akro.
I guess it depends on where you are willing to compromise, for me the look and sound was more important than HP, I will never be able to ride mine to it's full potential in stock form!

I certainly found the bike to be more responsive by dumping the stock can and it seems to work problem free with no surging or rough take off.

yea I agree Black, I still think the yosh is a great exhaust, I had a full yosh TRS on my 54 and It make that bike come alive after custom mapping.
