: Wanting that Indy Car sound...

I recently bought a micron slip-on exhaust for my 954rr and I do not like the sound. The sound that I am after is that of a F1 Indy car (high pitched, etc.) Does anyone know of an exhaust that would have that pitch to it or at least sounding somewhat like an F1 car? Thanks for your help!

most exhausts deepen the exhaust note. especially the micron.

in my opinion, Arata has the most F1-type sound. cheggit out on the 1000RR...

There is a brand new D&D Show N Go Aluminum FULL SYSTEM that a guy in my town is selling for $500. It has never been installed on a bike and the guy is trying to get rid of it because he no longer has the bike. Is this a good deal? What kind of sound could I expect from this setup? Also, if I go this route I will need to get a power commander too right? Anyone have any recommendations on the best place to get one? Thanks again for all the help! (I'm new to the forum).

I'm not sure if thats a good deal or not.

call Brad 1-828-395-4231 for the best prices on exhausts and power commanders.

he will tell you if thats a good deal on that pipe too.

Sorry for so many questions (I'm a newbie)...How does the Erion exhaust compare to the D&D as far as sound/performance/quality? They are around the same price for the full system.

+1, I had a D&D on my '05 Gixxer 600. I had to repack it just so I could stand to ride the bike. It actually gave me headaches if I rode for a while. It was that loud. After I repacked though I really liked the sound. If you do buy it and find that it is to loud, just call D&D and buy their repacking kit. It was only like $35 and was real easy to do. It sure made one hell of a difference.

When riding with my friends, they say my bike sounds like an angry F1 car, when my revs are up.

The akrapovic bolt on i just got sounds like that. Has a deep throaty sound and gets higher pitch and raspy when the throttle is opened on it.

Yes sir, but the only good undertail exhaust for the 954 was made by MIG, & they went out of business a couple years ago.
