I haven't even thought about how to secure it, it does pretty much keep it self in place, by fitting so snug I didn't even think about laying the battery down but I did order a small battery I like that TLF sticker w/ any luck it might get you out of a ticket, if you play it right that odd colored place on the under-tail isn't exposed is it where it was tucked in & rubbed the shit out of it? but is it exposed on yours? I don't know what kinda weight savings the C/F box gives ya but I like how it's exposed on the side... it does seem kinda messy in there doesn't it I am trying to figure out how to make it look a little better organized I think a small battery & a few brackets will help...
