i'm in the same boat you are. Wondering which exhaust to do. I considered Devil for it's price/looks/sound. But the micron Carbon can is sweet, unfrotunately it's a couple $$$ I also considered Akropovic.....too many choices. Can anyone help???

If you are looking for a high mount pipe with great looks and sound to match, then you should go with the Devil. If you are looking for a bolt on replacement can, then Micron is a good choice. My brother has a Micron on his R1 and it is a bit quieter than my Devil. It lacks that performance growl (not saying that the Devil is overly loud). The Micron can is a bit cleaner looking since it does not have any external fasteners, such as rivits or machine screws, holding the ends of the can on. If you do go with Devil, call them direct and let them know that you are a forum member, you wont be disapointed.

thanks By-Tor. I considered devil b/c IMO the 954 has enough power for what I use it for, and I really don't want to mess with re-mapping and stuff like that. Which pipe do you have from devil?? I hava a blk/tit 954 and was gonna do the carbon high mount. I was just gonna pay the extra150 for the 3/4 system to avoid cutting the stock pipe. thanks again.

I did the SB2 Carbon High Mount. I opted to save the $ and cut the stock pipe. Figured I would never reinstall it an how much could you get for a used factory pipe? I got the SB2 because the round can gives a tighter sleaker look when viewed from the side. I have about 1200 miles on the pipe now and couldnt be happier. Remember to call them direct.

When i got my 954 i put on a hindle bolt on then changed it to a ackropovic bolt on, even cosiderd the devil but i finally took off the bolt on and factory pipe and then finally got an arata full pipe, good power gains stock it was 129.7 hp and now its 144.9 the power is so much smoother and no low end surge either, in my opinion, a bolt on is a waste of time just for the sound, unless thats really what you want (been there done that),,,, for the same money as the devil you can get a hindle full pipe and free hp's with the sound for the same $$$$$$

heres a dyno of my 954 with a arata full pipe

MMMmm- Where is the RPM graph? Never seen one done to MPH? At 139 MPH you are only pulling what maybe 9 k RPMs If I'm f-k up here enlighten me. Good gains from the Arata, looking for one myself

to tell you the truth i never noticed it was donr to MPH ,, all i can say is almost everyone here goes by the same dyno , as for the arata if you were looking for one all i can say is it works great the thing just breathes and the power is way up from stock,, I'll work on getting a new dyno and let you know the result.
