My wife doesn't like the seat on the 2006 1000rr as much as she did the 954rr -- the new seat is flatter and harder.

So, I'm thinking of buying a seat, adding some padding to it, and put it on the bike when my wife rides with me. I'll keep my stock '06 seat and leave it on the rest of the time.

Got a rear seat for sale? Reply here or e-mail to allenfam at merr . com

Thanks.

I think there may be a few over on .net, ask for one over there, theres been a few guys crach over there and you will have to recover it anyway.

04 and 05's will fit too.

Hey Charger! Rev. Jim from MSB. You will see a lot of other familiar faces in these parts as well. Welcome!

Have you considered getting a seat cowl for riding solo and then modding your stock seat?

too bad we didn't meet up before you bought your bike. I could have filled you in on asking Rob's to have it done custom. I have a custom cover and added padding in mine and it didn't cost me anything more. You could probably still have it done.

Thanks for the welcome. I recognize a lot of names here. But I don't get on here as often as I'd like or as much as the other sites because work blocks access to this site. What kind of filth are you peddling here? Maybe it's the overtly religious messages. :rofl3:

For a second, I thought of a cowl. But then decided against it. I don't like that look. I did see one recently that was okay, but I can't justify spending that kind of money.

You stalking me? :hehe:

Yeah, that would have been nice. But I don't think they wanted to deal any further with me. I asked quite a bit as it was. They were done.

Been going there for almost 20 years though so we're good.

No stalkin' here man... I think I registered here almost prior to JCSB, or at least around the same time. So you went through the same B.S. I did huh? I thought I asked for a lot until I learned that other local members got a better deal on their 04/05 with accessories than I got on my 06. Either way, I think it was a win/win situation in the end.

20 years... you're a dedicated customer. I know Rob likes that a lot. Cool!!! :kickass1:
