: Which flushmounts??
Psquared 05-22-2004, 10:41 AM I want to get rid of the stock lights. I was gonna use the LP shortstalks on the rear, but which lights look good on the front?? I want to keep the housing black with clear lenses. None of that "plasma" lens or fake carbon fiber crap. My concern is the flash rate. I don't want strobes for signals, so which can replace the stock without having to mess with resistors and stuff like that to keep the flash rate the same. Thanks in advance.
gntbldr 05-22-2004, 11:02 AM I used LP's for the front and rear and the flash rate stayed the same...
fake carbon fiber shit. but free is free
By-Tor 05-22-2004, 02:52 PM As long as your chosen flushmount uses a conventional bulb and not LEDs, you should be OK.
Truck 05-23-2004, 06:40 PM Yup the leds mess with youre flasher
Wheelie 05-23-2004, 06:51 PM mess with your flasher? makes it fast? Im about to led front and rear, what slows the rate down? weee
Psquared 05-23-2004, 08:07 PM don't take me 100% on this, but I believe resistors. (radio shack) You have to trick the relay into thinking you are still using a larger wattage BULB, versus LED's that only consume miliamps of power. The lower the amp the faster it's gonna flash. you have to put them inline with the 12v supply.
By-Tor 05-23-2004, 08:13 PM Wheelie, check out McCoy's Racing at www.tobefast.com . They have a resistor that is adjustable so that you can get your led signals to flash at your own desired rate. My brother did it to his R1 and it works great Led's have less resistance than regular bulbs, so the flash rate will be higher. The adjustable resistor lets you bring the circuit into check and equalize everything. Hope I was clear.
Artman 05-24-2004, 11:18 PM If you want something really trick I would suggest the LED's from Watsen design. Great product. Small and sorta-flush mount. You will need to use the resistors but they are not hard to install. Just thought you might want to look.

racinrr 05-25-2004, 01:55 AM You guys wanna see a good set of flush mounts check out my site www.TheCET.com
and tell me what you think?
gntbldr 05-25-2004, 02:47 AM both are pretty slick...

Wheelie 05-25-2004, 07:34 AM Im looking at the Watsens, over a 4 week wait to have them made? weeeee
By-Tor 05-25-2004, 08:22 AM This is what my brother has. Very well made and very clean looking.

Ive got these and they work great and look great on the bike.
GeNeRaL 05-25-2004, 09:33 AM a friend on an f4i just got the watsens, ill get ya pics once he has em installed. he had the actual housing made in red too, looks kool.
Psquared 05-25-2004, 05:34 PM just what I was lookin for, thanks all. I like the CET flushmounts, clear lens w/amber LED's. Just need to order, then I'll post pics.

IIFAST4U 09-24-2004, 02:59 PM Just going through some of the older threads here anyone use anything new?? or the ones listed in this thread still some of the better choices? I was looking at the ones here http://thecet.com/catalog/index.php for those who use any of the front flushmounts how is the visibility from the front? I watched a guy turn on a gixxer the other day and I barely saw his directional at all the car that was directly behind him almost clipped him too he had front and rear custon directionals. Just curious. not sure which to use a long winter coming to add on to the new bike :D
