Don't bother with the resistor route to fix the blinker rate. Cut in a new electronic blinker relay like this http://www.customled.com/PRODUCTS/FLASHER_RELAY/flasher_relay.htm

The 954 has an on board blinker that won't work with the leds that draw lower amounts of current. Find the two electrical plugs (Gray and blue) behind the right front blinker. On the blue plug cut the white/green stripe(+) wire and the gray (-) wire 2 to 3 inches from the blue plug towards the bike. Not from the blue plug towards the instruments. add some length of wire and install the new relay close to the battery. You will never have to deal with it again. You can even mix and match leds and the regular bulbs.

Open to the idea, do you have any photos of the installation? I'm a little fuzzy on what your saying exactly. (thats not uncommon)

Yes I do, but I haven't got it all organized yet. I hope to post up some pics here within the week. Cheers

Here are some pictures for yas.

The first two are the site of the blue and gray connector harness. The second one I already have the signal and the brow mod connected.

The third is where to tie in the new wires to the turn signal relay( white/green wire and the gray wire) The wires that are now not connected to the on board turn signal relay now have the light blue connectors on them just in case I want to hook them back up after. In retrospect I would just tape the ends.

The forth picture is where I mounted the relay, just behind the battery. I have an under tail mod ,the previous owner kind of butchered the existing plastic around the rear of the battery to make it fit.

I hope this helps out.

as you can see in the first shot I installed the lockhart phillips turn 6 signals.

In the second shot you can see the aluminum washer I had to fabricate to fill in the faring hole (painted black). I can't remember exactly but I think its 2.5 inches in diameter with a 3/8 hole in the middle for the threaded signal post. There is just enough room for this when the faring is all buttoned up.

oh ya, one more thing. I put a dab of silicon on the plastic threaded stud once I had the signals in place and the plastic nut tightened down. This is to prevent the nut from backing off and the signal from getting loose in the fairing.
