just got back from the reduc track school at pocono, first time i was on the track. Totally different world im fairly fast on the street but i was pretty damn slow the first few time out on the track, its alot different. The instructors were saying to try and stay in just one or two gears (3rd/4th) and to try and not use the brakes, found it hard to haul ass that way, funny thing was i put on new tires before i went and on the street i wear my tires just about all the way to the edge(maybe a pencil point away) but on the track i used less of the tire(maybe 1/4 inch from edge) i was leaning way off the bike working on body position.
Anyways u guys ride pocono with no brakes and in two gears?

You've got me all excited for my track day coming up this thursday at Loudon. Do you have any pics? It's all about body position.

That looks like East course. You can definitely get off more, but your looking through the turn well. I've gone through that turn dragging the back of my helmet, Your way is better! Staying off hte brakes is a good drill to get a comfortable corner speed reference, be smooth and pick a good line. You will still have to brake @1, 5 and the bus stop. Every time I go to the track, I try to improve one area of my riding. You learn fast that you can be faster than the 8 guys you ride with and still suck!
