: 1000RR to much for the streets?

Guys, this new bike has just to much power. It is in now way a good bike for the streets/stuntin. It is 100% for the track. (I think that all the new 1000's are to powerful for the street)

I think I'm goin sell this bike and get an CBR929RR Erion edtion. There is a dealer by me that has a brand new one on the floor.

My current 1000RR is a great bike, and I'm not one of those pvssy riders, but it really is not for the streets.

Do any of you new 1000RR owenrs feel the same way about yours? That it is just to powerful for the streets?

Well it's obvious that dealers today aren't going over all the features of these hot new liter bikes, it is covered in the owners manual but who reads that right? While sitting on the bike with both hands on the bars you will notice that one of the twist grips "turns", this is called a "throttle". What it does is govern the speed/power of the engine so that you can actually control your speed. This new development was deemed necessary after many factory development testers crashed prototype liter bikes because of too much speed at the wrong time. There have been rumors about this device for many years but were dismissed as an impossible goal...until NOW. The unbelievable speed and power of these new liter bikes forced it's development just as WWII forced development of the atomic bomb.

Check out this website for more info: www.squids.com it goes over all this important new information your dealer neglected to tell you.

Hope this helps.

FUNNY SHIT bidwell :!: :!: :!:    Keep it up. A Ferrari F1 is probably too much for the streets too (that if you have no clue as too what you are doing). In fact, a Ford Festiva has probably proven itself to be too much for the streets for some Dumb Shits.

OH yea, and as for you bidwell................................. .............

hey joe.......i agree that these machines are too powerful, but are you gonna sit there and tell me that a 929 isn't too powerful for the street? not trying to be a jerkoff, but THAT is why the throttle is there. They will only go as fast as you want them to, you should know that. the main down fall in BIG sportbikes is that gray thing inside our heads. the bike will only do what we tell it to. i once read somewhere that 50hp is all you really need for the street....it's adequate, safe, not too strong etc. etc. Do the "masses" NEED more than 50hp?? mostly not, but do they want it? you're damn right!!! I don't use all of it all the time, but when i do (and want to) i'm sure glad it's there.

if you're looking for a bike that's not too powerful, get a Ninja 500....they're around 50 hp or so

Nothing is to powerfull........ Going from a 1000rr to a 929 no thanks, especially an erion edition, you will end up paying an additional 1500 for the name...

I love the bike. I put 1100 miles on it in 2 weeks. Took it up to Bear Mountain NY and it loved the roads. I do have to take off the stubs on the pegs cause they are scaring the hell out of me in the corners. The bike is perfect for actually riding it, NOT stunting it, YO!
Learn how to use the bike, and maybe you will learn how it is supposed to be ridden. I stand with Geoff on this issue. And the General is full of knowledge that the stunta's can only dream about.
