Keepin mine until the CBR model after the current one is released. Figure I'll buy every other model. That is unless someone thinks that their 1000 is "too much for the streets" and wants to trade.

When I got the 954, I researched for almost a year. I could have gotten anything I wanted. I could have had a new GSXR 1000 for a $1000 less than I paid or a used busa with a turbo and all the odds and ends for $2000 less. I got what I wanted, but I did consider trading it in for the 1000. Last weekend I put 240 miles on my bike. Most of it was in the rain, but I was reminded why I wanted the 954 so bad and why I'll be keepin it for a while.

hangin on to mine for likely about 3 more seasons, at least. Unless a 211v street model arrives for under 20k, in which case i'll be seeking a buyer for a testicle so i can afford one :)

If they release an RC211 onto the streets, any dealership here better watch out, cause i will own it regardless if i have the $ or not. hahaha

Went riding tonight and got in a groove and well all i got to say is this is a freckin awsome machine. I came off of a Yamaha FZR 600 and this thing is a frigin lexus to that thing. I can go the same speed on the 54 and its real comfy, on the fzr at the same speed it was balls to the wall. Tonight I got my knee down for the first time and it was real easy and smooth. I realized that I could of even carried more speed too :!: The more im riding it the more im liking it. Im keeping it even if I were to buy another bike.

After doing a track day on this bike I can tell ya there is no way I'm gettin rid of it for a long, long time. Very impressive bike. It is the rider and not the bike though because I was passin an 04' R1 all day :D

keepin mine too (for now). I'm not to impressed with the performance numbers for the 1000rr. Some readings are OK, but most that I read are slower than the 954. It might be faster around the track but i don't ride at the track and I don't run 180 every where I go. Not saying the 1000rr is a bad bike, just not good enough to replace the 954. I think I just about got the wife talked into letting me keep it and get a second bike. Right now i'm leaning toward a black zx10. However, I haven't ruled out the 1000rr yet. I go look at them all the time (new 1000rr). I try to get all siked up about it, but when i look at it and sit on it, it just doesn't do much for me. Maybe I'm just a squid LOL. Maybe a test ride will change my mind, it sure changed my mind about getting a gixxer.

a test ride :? where abouts are you? heck,, if I could test drive bikes I'd be out there playing prospective buyer Big time
I'd love to sit on the kawi and see if I feel it or not yet I have already sat on the 1000RR and it fit the niche' just perfect and I would sacrifice some of the odd traits that some to to steer away from...
I know the 1k would out perform my 954 with me riding any day of the eternity so there's no question there but to feel what the kawi would do in comparison would be nice... I definately was wanting far more power out of my 954 and I also kinda like the ugly ass front end on the kawi. Looks predator like and dark, and in black it looks Wicked gnarly.
Attracted to the kawi Z1000 big time. But I am a honda man through and true. just a fucking whore is all :P

I live in florida and know the sales manager at the local suzuki / honda dealer. He will let me take a test ride. However I don't like abusing it unless im really serious. When the time comes I'll test ride one.
