OK i have a black 04 rim for a 1000rr it had a ding in it that i had repaired. Now i have run into some money trouble and dont have the money to powder coat it or keep it. it is in perfect condition other then where the paint is removed. i'm asking 150 and we'll discuss shipping. also PM me with any reasonable offers.

do you know if it will work on an 05 600rr?

if so I would be interested. My folks asked me what I wanted for Christmas and another set of rims are on the list.

it would but you would have to modify the brake bracket a little, there is a right up on 600rr.net. A guy did it there. i'll see if i can find it

hmm, might not work for me too well since my plan is to have a rain tire mounted on it and want to be able to do a quick swap of the rims.

by the sounds of it I'd have to have a spare (modified) bracket on hand and switch that over with the rim

otherwise it might not be safe with the modfied caliper bracket in junction with the 600 rim?

I'll post up there and ask him.

well you figure i you were going to change the tire all that would be loose, whats undoing one more bolt to take off the caliper to put it on a different bracket.

not much I suppose but I'd need to find another bracket, and replace the bearings, seals, and internal spacers for the 600's sized axle.

I want to wait just a little bit to see what the author of that thread thinks since he knows more than I do. He also wrote that he had to file his swingarm a little too. I want to be sure I can switch between the two safely.

But yeah, so far so good,eh?

Thanks. it's up to me now to buy this instead of my folks 'cause my ma's car just needed a head gasket and they went and had the work done before talking to me. Almost a grand for a headgasket repair on a newer buick century.

I'll be getting back to work Feb. so I'll have money sometime around then.

If someone comes up and asks if it's still for sale do it. But I still buy it if it's for sale after I get back to work.

What's the price for that rim? Gntbldr has seen on my bike that I have a small dent that's hardly noticeable but was trying to come across an awesome deal to get a set powdercoated. Is there a difference between an 04 rim and the 06's other than the glossy finish?

its 150 and there is no difference between the years.
