it was in the mid 40's so i took the new 929 out. had a good day for the most part. did a few stand ups and pulled off one really awesome long one. went well over a mile. but the front tire was stopped and when i sat it down it sent me into one hell of a tank slapper. i damn near went off thr right side of the road. but it was a good day.

yeah. i'm getting a stabilzer before i bring the front wheel up again. almost gee wizzer my pants.
and i'm going to keep it as it is. may get some red stickers to to finish out the wings. but that's about it. well and some nice red or white 1000RR.com stickers would be cool. i don't worry about looks anymore. i'm going to throw it down the road sooner or later anyway. it does run good though.
stock sprockets and it'll throttle right up in second.

I should have thought to tell you to get a damper. Mine was supper twitchy and a scotts was the first thing i put on the bike so ever since then its not been a problem.
So how do you like the bike overall? Power probably hits like a hammer if its like mine. I noticed that when i rode my bros R1 his power is more linear compared to mine. Lower center of gravity too and that translated into a smoother ride. But tell us what you think

Over all, I’d say I like it. It’s a good bit different that what I’m used to. It’s a little wider than the R1 and it handles quite a bit different. But it’s good. It seems to be pretty stable with the front wheel up in the air. The balance point seems to be a little wider and lower than the R1. No complaints at all on power. As always, more is better but it really doesn’t seem to be too far off from the R1 and pulls hard in all 6 gears.
I haven’t thrown it into the turns real hard yet. The roads had a lot of wet spot yesterday. But I’m sure I’ll have a plenty of time to check out that aspect next spring.

i just got back from another ride. damn it was way cold today. had to stop and warm my hands on the pipe a few times. tank slappers are bad too. i was rolling through a long sweeper at a little over 1000. just as i was starting to straighten the bike up i hit a nice little dip in the road and it started slapping like hell. touchy little bastage for sure.
but i have a gpr on it's way here from brad. he was 20 bucks less than anyone else i've looked at. 30 if you figure in shipping. so i should be rolling a little straighter by the end of the week.
