just don't use anything that says energy conserving or that has moly in it, you don't want either of them.

I will be switching back to mobil 1 after I use up the repsol oil I have, I think my bike shifts a lot smoother with the mobil 1 and the oil stays cleaner looking longer.

mobil 1 gold cap full synthetic is what I use.

where are you?

you can buy ut at wal-mart, its not a bike oil but I used it in my 954 for over 25,000 miles and it ran great and never had any problems.

what ever you buy make sure its not energy conserving.

Im near Union City,TN 1Wheel....

I was just curious bout what kind... I dont know bout this... my first time....
a bunch of vets I know from back home were telling me after I had been riding it for along time already... that they always drop the factory shit and put in a synthetic..... 1st day they buy anything...

you'll be fine going to synthetic now. i like to run the factory shit for about 200mi, change it with more dino factory shit, then go with synthetic around 600mi, but thats just my preference.

these bikes are machined to such tight tolerances that it really doesn't matter anymore whether you use dino or synthetic...as long as it is a good quality oil.

hey, your right union city is close, we need to meet up some time and ride, are there any good roads down there?
we ride a lot just north of you, theres some pretty good roads in western Ky if you know how to find them. the guys I ride with have lived here and rode all of there lifes so the know most of the good roads here close. We also go down to 232 a few times a year.

it's a snap to do. do not take it to a dealership. they will not take as good a care of your plastics as you will.

nothing wrong with dino oil. be sure to keep up with your mileage and change it every 3,000 miles or sooner depending on how you ride. it's the cheapest, easiest thing to do to keep your bike top notch.

I waited till I had 3500 miles on my bike before I went to Repsol full synthetic. 10W-50 stuff.
