hi guys my name is josh im new to this sight, i just bought my first 1000 in september and have to say there is no going back to a 600 lol... bike is completely stock for now, but hoping to change in the future...

welcome to the site, nice ride..if you get into trackdays or racing you will find yourself back peddling to a 600 again. oh yea you have hallett motor speedpark right there in your backyard

Thanks everyone, first order of business is exhaust then new tires, battelaxes suck ass... then maybe pwer commander, not sure yet, and tricks of the trade to free up some power lol

No it will not void your warranty. Go up to the "Search" tab at the top of the screen and type in "Flapper Mod" You'll get tons of info on how to do it and stuff. Free 2-3 hp.

Welcome to the site and if i can interject here and give some good advise put your money into susspension upgrades firstt before all the other garb. That bike is plenty fast enough and the thing you need the most is controll. Fork work and a rear shock is a must Unless you run in straight lines.

thanks for the info, and whats wrong with factory suspension, i dont do any track days, at least not until i get a 600rr, lol, i usually keep it to the street

Well if you ride moderate to moderate fast there great but if you get to where your scrubbin the knee you better look at upgrades. The problem with the susspension is that when they let go they do if voilently and very quick. Put it this way you can look to increase corner speed about 40mph over stock just by upgrading. Its that different:thumbsup:

damn... thats a big difference, i will deffinately look into that, which direction shoud i look into as far as name brands and quality and performance...

Save your pennies. Suspension work is very expensive.
