I'm doing a track day @ Willow and was thinking of using a set of Pirelli Dragon slicks I've had in storage for about 2 yrs. Their current wear is not an issue, but I'm concerned about using these if they're n/g.

Get them nice and warm. You should be fine for your first trackday. I have a buddy who picked up a 1994 900RR with the original tires on it with 3,000 miles. Now those tires should have been swapped. He almost tucked the front twice riding upright on the highway. hahahahahahhahahaha

You'll be okay bro. But if you are nervous, just go ahead and spend the $200 on Pilot Powers or something. This way you can have fun and concentrate on your riding instead of worrying about your tires when you get to the track. My $0.02

This is actually trackday #2. The 1st was on Streets at Willlow, but this'll be my 1st time on the big boy track. Like I said, the tires "look" fine just not sure if having them just sit around for 2 yrs is dangerous. I know to get 'em nice & warm.
I've got a set of 'take-off 209 GP's that I'm gonna bring w/ me in the truck...just in case. It's just that running 'slick's' is sooooo sweeet. I've been on the Pirelli's before and they were awesome!

turbo is right. just scrub them in nice and easy, get em warm, and have at it. i have had a 180 diablo corsa sitting in the garage for the last year and a half. brand new, never mounted. gonna put it on once it warms up. i'm sure it'll be fine especially since it still has the preservative coating on it.

Kinda depends on where thhey were stored. In a garage? Sitting outside? If they have been through some weather you need to throw them away. If they were inside a garage or inside a house just take it easy and get them good a warm!! Tire warmers my friend ... tire warmers!!
