scooted up to Rob's (the shop I got my bike from) and returned some spark plugs I didn't need and took the 600grrgrr (more like brr brr LOL){twas about 24 degrees out with about a 15 degree windchill at 120mph}
I must have had an exhaust leak before because the bike has at least a couple more hp and it's not just from the cold air. I've ridden in weather just like this and, well, all sorts of weather with that thing and it Never pulled like it did today!
wow.
it acted like I added 3 teeth to the back end.
was on some of my favorite backroads on the way there and before I had to ride out the clutch over a couple hills in 3rd to get the front end up to loft it down the backside but not today. all it took was a 4th gear blip!!!
unreal.
I noticed when I took off my full arrow system a few of the pipes weren't seated right because my doomas stretched the springs out a bit too much when I originally put on the system but I didn't think it'd matter too much.
apparently I was wrong.
the whole resonation of the system is more refined in sound and more quiet too compared to what it was before I took it all apart, added new anti-sieze to all the connections and put it back together all super snug.
so just a friendly hint:
if you have a full system make sure your springs are taunt and all your connections have enough anti-sieze on them along with being firmly seated.
dang that was a fun little jaunt!
